That was most impressive review as the log diameter almost exceeded the blade length. But the blade stood up really well to the battoning and was still sharp. I bought one of these from Amazon and it really ideal as a small camp knife for wood preparation and chores, not to mention personal defence.
I agree. Every video I’ve watched on this knife up to this point says they did this with it but never showed it. I already got the knife but haven’t used it yet. I’m glad I bought it.
Thanks for the review. I've been eyeballing this knife for a few days now. It checks all the boxes for me, except I was concerned about durability. Now I know it's good to go.
These are the best reviews!!! We can all see you could get it going if you wanted, you showed how tough the knife is, and you never once came up with an excuse like it was the knife’s fault. I got from this that even in shitty conditions, with a farro rod, this knife can produce!!!
For those on a budget, Flissa knives are for you. There are a bunch of models. I bought the one above in a wood handle for 20 at Amazon. It's a chunk of a scandi grind.
What a knife! Thanks for the review, I got the knife from it. Been looking to upgrade from my beater $12 Mora knife. Was considering a really nice $100 or so Joker Bushcrafter knife (still would love that one some day) but this knife really fit the bill unlike any other sub $50 knife. It’s a very thick blade, sharp spine, a sharp real scandi grind, and a decent sheath. Thanks for the video!
Nice ! I have one of these and was blown away by the quality. Ive had a ton of bushcraft knives and i can easily say this is better bang for your dollar than many popular blades on RU-vid. Im cautious with China D2, but from what I can see, D2 or not, it's good steel regardless. Thanks for pounding yours through that log LOL . I plan to review mine and I will do carving and stuff, but send um your way to see that test 😂. Cheers 🍻
Excellent video, thanks! I've been checking out these knives and wondering how sturdy they really are. I guess you answered that question! A lot of folks prefer knives that are thin and light, but I like a knife that doesn't seem like it would bend in the wind. You just told me everything I needed to know, cheers! :-)
@@mbdbushcraftsurvival8671 just bought the micarta lol. It's a fuck it, why not? Purchase. Being a saltwater fisherman this will serve me better than my garbage for corrosion resistance and much easier to replace if lost
