Either because of its appearance, or for some other reason, players often call this device a “frying pan.” However, this is not about that now, because we should look at the Jagdpanzer IV characteristics and understand what this tank is really capable of and how to play it, so let's get started.
First of all, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that we have at our disposal a typically low, but at the same time standard by PT-6 standards, safety margin, as well as a rather modest basic visibility of 350 meters.
Of course, one cannot help but pay attention to the survivability properties of this self-propelled gun, and here two news awaits us, good and bad. Let's start with the second and its essence is that the Jagdpanzer IV has rather modest armor. In the frontal projection there are rational inclinations, thanks to which the reduction reaches approximately 124 millimeters in the wheelhouse and 113 in the VLD. Unfortunately, such indicators cannot protect us from our classmates, and many fifth levels are capable of breaking through this armor.

The good news is that the Jagdpanzer IV WoT tank destroyer has a low silhouette and fairly compact dimensions; thanks to the combination of these performance characteristics, a good level of stealth is achieved.
In addition, this German self-propelled gun has very decent driving characteristics. The Jagdpanzer IV tank has a decent maximum speed, excellent dynamics, and the car spins vigorously in place, although you can still spin it.

But if you remember that very “indistinct parameter” - this is armor penetration. The bottom line is that the Jagdpanzer IV tank penetrates only 145 millimeters with an armor-piercing shell. This is enough to fight with classmates and tanks of a lower level, but in battles against sevens and eights you will have to frequently charge gold, so carry at least 30% sub-calibers.
But with the accuracy characteristics of the Jagdpanzer IV World of Tanks, everything is in perfect order. The top gun boasts a very compact dispersion circle, excellent aiming, and stabilization does not play a role against the background of the already mentioned parameters.
However, there is one more nuance that needs to be paid attention to. Jagdpanzer IV WoT has modest elevation angles, the gun bends down only 6 degrees, but on the other hand, the elevation angles are a total of 24 degrees (12/12) and this is enough for a comfortable game.
