Kenchii Scorpion 7" Curved Shear Review.
I try these shears on a toy poodles topknot.
These shears are great for beginners and everyday stylist. They are Japanese Stainless Steel with good hardness, corrosion resistance and is able to keep a great edge.

The noise you hear is the micro serrated edge that is on one of the blades. This serration is there on purpose. It is for gripping the hair and preventing sliding, as well as extending the edge life. The quite shears are convex edge which make no sound. A local sharpener will remove the serration which will make them quite but loose the grip as well as shorten the time between sharpenings. I have been using mine for 1 year every day and they are still cutting like I just opened them. I know the Kenchii website does not say they are serrated, but they are indeed serrated on 1 edge, the opposite edge is a bevel. I hope this info is helpfull.

Thank you for letting me know too! I plan on purchase some, I’m thinking which to get! I’ve been eyeing the bumblebee and the love ones though!

I have a toy poodle that looks very similar to this dog! It's nice to see another toy with a shaved face instead of a teddy bear & lamb cut.

Wow, another great video. You are so caring and gentle with your dogs, and I love how you talk to each pup to reassure him/her. Your clients are super lucky to be working with you; I'm saying this from the point of view of someone who has yet to be comfortable allowing my dogs to be groomed by a professional; I've been able to do everything myself, but if any dog ever needed it, I would thoroughly research and I hope I can find a groomer as kind and competent as you. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to more videos.

Mine make noise too. So do my Monks. I would be interested to see if going to a sharpener makes a difference. None of mine have needed sharpening yet. I do like how my Kenchi Curves feel though.

My Kenchii curves have always sounded exactly like that too! Will be curious to hear if your sharpener can get rid of it.

I order a small pair to do under my Yorkie's belly and the curve from chest to the rib area. I love them as I like his facial sides rounded.

Is 7” a good length in curves, straights, thinners, chunkers, on Toy size dogs? I only need to groom my 7 lb Maltese once a month. The longer size seems too much to me for such a small dog. Hate to make a mistakes the scissors are so expensive.

They cut beautifully but the noise is weird! Probably needs to be sharpened! Did you end up sharpening them or? And do you still use them?

I still use them with no problems
