I had radio shack realistic version of the same deck hurricane Katrina got it in 2005 beautiful picture on super beta mode.

The control panel on the front of the VCR is kinda weird, you can't close it. It looks like it could be easily hit accidentally.

Basically the same as my Realistic Model 22. In fact, that one was OEM made by Sanyo. The only differences I see are the color and brand label. PS, Mine is fully working, and it is Hi-Fi, and Super Beta, and doesn't have the black and white recording problem, so if you want, I can make recording for you and mail them to you.

Hey VCR King Recently I came across a VCR I was searching for a long time. Its a Panasonic NV-J1. I just love that VCR specially the Mechanism it has. However, the lady gave it to me told me it does not power on. I took it home with me and the power unit is dead. I tried replacing all the caps and other suspected components, no luck. I know the unit will work fine but the power supply unit is the culprit. Any chance I can find just the power supply for this model? do you have any contacts? Where I live, I dont have anyone I can send this to have the power unit repaired. Please let me know if you can help me out. I've sent this message to Mr Manetoscope as well.
