This is our 2013 RV VISTA camper-caravan, these small caravans are built in Melbourne Australia
We decided to buy this type off road hybrid camper because of its low profile and off road 4X4 towing ability. It is also very light weight so our FJ crusier can tow it with ease.

We bought a 2010 RV VISTA Crossover van last year. Haven't gone on our planned longer trip because of Covid, but have been camping locally in torrential rain and wind for a few days. The van was absolutely watertight, even with the front hatch and window open. We love our Vista, not cheap, even for second hand, but exceptional quality and worth every cent.

Thanks for your comments Margaret. Yes they are a fantastic little van. The Vista is also completely dust proof which we found as an added bonus. We can’t wait to get in the red dirt of the outback again. Enjoy 😊

Nice, congrats! Unfortunately our Vista doesn’t have a shower, we use a shower tent attached to the car. If you go back through my videos there is one on that if it helps.

Great video. Did you ever cook inside on a portable gas stove or similar, when cooking outside was too unpleasant? They should include some cooking plate on the bench inside for such situations. Also, did you have a flyscreen on the main door?

We have cooked inside on the bench with a portable stove and jet boil, but only when it’s really bad outside. I believe the reason there is no stove inside is due to gas compliance needing a external vent. Vista is pretty much dust proof and air tight. An external vent might create a dust ingress point. I can’t shut or open the roof without the door or window open because that van is so air tight and creates a vacuum. We do have a magnetic fly screen for the door, works very well. I note that your review is only 9 months old however your Vista is far from the current model. We have owned an XLI for 18 months.

Hi Di! Thanks for watching my video! My review is of what I have not the newest model as much as I’d love one. Any model of the Vista is great wouldn’t you agree ? Hope you get out and use yours as much as I use mine. I’d love to see your RU-vid review of the XLI so I can see what changes have been made since 2012.
