Good video and awesome test and info. I can't wait to get my hands on a ms400 now. I will definitely go with the 8 pin sprocket. This saw should fill the void between my 261c and my 461 nicely. Thanks again... Cheers!
I had the 400 C for a while but exchanged it with a 462 Because I needed more power. It's a fantastic saw. I think that Stihl is introducing a new generation of saws using a new naming system with the 400 and 500i ( 400=4kw, 500=5kw...) Maybe that's why they launched it right in between the 362 and 462, where it's unnecessary in my opinion. Three saws that close together doesn't make sense at all
Thank you for the video..I look forward to rebuilding a used 362 with 400 parts, including carburetor and coil.. It also needs a titanium gudgeon pin, steel bearings, and a mild port modification. (Maybe use a 500i injection system, , , maybe)
550XP mark II is faster than ms261, 562XP is faster than ms362, ms462 is faster than 572XP, 395XP is faster than ms661 and 592XP is also faster than ms661. Looks like Husqvarna 3 to 1 to me. If you love vibration and less filtration but lighter weight go with Stihl. If you love smoothness with a bit more speed at the cost of a bit more weight go with Husqvarna. I will choose Husqvarna all day long.
If you like triggers that are the size of a football get husqvarna if you like the fact that you need special tools to adjust the idle speed get husqvarna if you like piss poor customer service get husqvarna if you like pitiful bars and heavy power heads get husqvarna...! I dont care how fast the damn saw cut's, it's how well it cut's I dont care how "smooth" the engine fells it less durable less torque less power less life and that is a fact. So F them sucksvarna's!!
@@brianmcghie4316 Husqvarna cuts better, faster, smoother, and now have a light bar (though they might not make it themselves) and their customer service is just fine where I live. F overpriced, over hyped, poorly balanced, leaky stupid cap having, gas guzzling Stihls than vibrate till your hands are numb.
@@brianmcghie4316 so a saw with more torque and more claimed HP cuts slower? Yah that makes sense. Clearly I am not going to change your mind. Only thing I will give you is Stihl makes a good saw. For me to believe otherwise would just be ignorant. Have a good day a hopefully we can both just agree cutting stuff up is a good time.
