I had one and in 2yrs I had to replace the wheels 3 times because they strip out. I pulled it at a idle with cub cadet. Swept good when it worked. I could only use it a couple times then replace wheels. I kept it clean. Switch to a ohio brand so far it is amazing!
I've had this 44 inch model for 8 years at least. I'll tell you what goes wrong with them. They do very well with grass, okay with SMALL sticks becaus large ones will get caught in the brushes and ruin them. and okay on leaves. When you pull the lever that pulls the bag up to empty it, it eventually wears out the hollow aluminum tube frame that it's connected to. That tube needs reinforced. You also should check your brushes to make sure they aren't loose. If they become lose, it will ruin the brushes and then you will have to order more brushes. I do like the fact that you can always get parts for them. I need a new bag right now and a tube replaced that busted from emtying it.
Thanks for the vid. This was very helpful in deciding which sweeper to go with. Some of the sweepers have plastic clamps for the brushes and your footage seems to show metal....what I am looking for.
The T on your height adjustment is for TRANSPORT, not tow. Just so you know. The unit is great. Even picks up heavier objects like magnolia pods. So much better than the vacuum/bagger attachments for the mower and a third of the cost. I know an elderly woman who uses this. No way she could handle a bagger.
Good Morning. The sweeper doe's a good job and you can remove and fold up the basket and store the unit in the garage taking up very little space . Thanks for Watching
I have a leaf sweeper for my tractor as well and the problem I have been running into is, where do the leaves go when it's full? Is there a way to maybe get a bag on the inside or are we just dumping it into the corner of the property and raking it the old fashioned way etc
Good evening. I am using the old fashion dump in the corner style LOL. I have a spot that washes out during heavy rain, so I put them in a pile and use the leaves as erosion control and this is effective. Good luck at least we get to put up the rake LOL. Thanks for Watching.
I have a different brand of yard sweeper and mine has a 3/8 inch string instead of the metal handle. It doesn't open nearly as easy as yours did. Do you think I could find the metal handle somewhere?
Hello , Yes it works great on grass clippings and it will sweep the yard clean and having the handle for dumping the basket without exiting the lawn mower works great . I hope this info helps and Thanks for Watching
@@AskDaddyjoe Thank you so much for the reply 🙏. Truly appreciate it. I just bought the sweeper and I'm about to put it together now. Thanks again for your help 🚜🙋♀️
Hello Ken , I have not had that problem , The basket is made to detach so you can store the sweeper it may be the two latch's next to the orange housing are not catching like they should . I hope this helps and Thanks for Watching
Hello, yeah it will sweep them up but heavier items like walnuts or large hickory nuts tend to be left behind. Enjoy the yard work and Thanks for Watching
