Oh nice setup u got there I wish I knew about the bluemoker before I had improvised mine. I fixed the chips falling down with some rod sticked in the tube.
@@curmudgeinnak we are doing good. Wife decided to go back to part time work. Trying to make plans for travels, but repairs seem to be winning the battle! 🙂
@@curmudgeinnak A Large wood shed would be nice. We are making plans for a Lean-to off our shed to keep snow off the ATV, but probably a next year thing. Hate to say it, but election will decide if we travel, or hunker down and make major investment at land. Getting things ready to sell in town, just in case. Never a dull moment.
Saw the short video, and came here to watch the whole thing with the review. Not a single place states the output temp of the smoke. Maybe I missed it, but this should be critical information. Anyone can claim cold smoke but if you are burning wood pellets it's hard to imagine you being below 86 degrees F which is required for cold smoking.
hhmm You are correct I did not post the temp coming out. It is less than 85 out the tube,. The burn chamber does get hot. I am truly sorry for that I had the info and I forgot to post that part in the video.
@@curmudgeinnak Thanks so much for the response. I will be buying one of these shortly if that is the case. It is so hard to separate the junk from the good stuff today.
Could the wood pellets like are used in say a Trager pellet smoker be used in the BluMoker Smoker? I too am a CostCo Shopper and I was gifted a Trager Pellet Smoker by my son. At CostCo they have 33 lb bags of various flavors of wood pellets. I'm assuming that you built your own smoke house to install the BluMoker Smoker in. Based on the materials that you used I could likely get all of it at our local Lowes or Home Depot. Since I live in the Denver, CO suburb of Littleton and we have wood burning restrictions sometimes. I might consider getting a couple of the BluMoker Smokers for my brother's as they like in Texas and Louisiana and don't have the air restrictions we have here in Colorado.
Yes I used what I had on hand to build this smoker as well as a small table top one I built last week. Yes I believe I can use the pellets in this one though I have not tried yet.
