A first evaluation of Cayin's latest tube phono preamplifier CS-6PH: predecessor model Phono One, unboxing the CS-6PH, description, operation and listening impressions. Wrap up 15:14
There’s so little content available on this product. You cover it with a lot of detail. I am very interested in trying this one out. Great video. Thank you.
I see you comprehend my motivation to make this video. Please let me know the result of your auditioning and - thank you for your encouragement, Manuel!
Never seen full review for new phono from Cayin since it's quite new, l am also looking for, I heard this phono with MC when I bought TT from TH dealer(Audio Absolut) , sound is impressed, Thanks for more details info.
Thank you, Mr Tim! I made the equipment stands myself, because my second hobby is car restoration (Channel: René's Car Life); the stands are a copy of the German Copulare Stand of the Art - Tonebases www.copulare.de
In the meantime I replaced it with a Jadis JP30 MC which sounds a lot better at four times the price but has lots of hum and noise problems. The Cayin was fine, but you might find cheaper solutions, as usually it all depends on your set up.
Hello sir, How does the unit perform at idle? As the power supply sits directly upon the gain stages (most phono pre at this price have seperate PSU) does the Cayin suffer from hum and noise floor issues?
Hello, thank you for your feedback. Somehow Cayin must have solved the problem. There is only a faint hum when you put your ears directly to the speaker.
@@renesklangwelt4393 much obliged. I have had some of their 845 amps with mixed results for reliability. I might see about a home demo of the phono stage though!
Sorry for the late reply. No, there were no issues at all with the Cayin in my setup, in contrast to the 4 times more expensive Jadis JP30 Mk3 MC which I own now (and which DOES have a separate power supply)
