So, I eventually got an FC15 in blue. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the bag; if I had any issues with it, they would be really specific nitpicks-like, I wish there were an outside pocket on the side of the bag I could put a water bottle in, but that’s not a big deal. And I would have loved it if there were a key strap or clip like in my Saddleback bags for me to clip my keys to, but again, that’s not a big deal. It’s got to be one of the most thoughtfully designed bags I’ve ever seen and of exceptional quality. At the price, they’re a steal. Might get a Rana bag for my camera. I’ve always wanted a nice camera bag, most camera bags are so…functional, they have no aesthetic appeal. Your review helped me make the decision, thank you!
Great review! I only discovered Cravar recently and the FC15 and FC13 are really catching my eye, especially in midnight blue leather and navy blue twill. I’ve never seen that little magnet closure at the back mentioned before, really good detail I didn’t know existed. I’m beginning to think I need one of these!
The design of this bag is very similar to the legendary Billingham camera bags. The Billingham bags are only trimmed in leather but are very, very tough and use similar intelligent design features. And they are supposed to be based on traditional bags for anglers....
I like how you're incorporating a variety of leather related videos to your channel and not just about boots. This bag looks very well built! Was this MTO?
Hi Teik, as a fellow Aussie (in the US) I’m really appreciating your videos and content. Thanks! After looking at your reviews and others I think I am I’m focusing in on the FC rather than the Rana or other bags. The main decision point for me now is sizing and I am thinking 13 or an 11 FC. Given you have this Rana and the FC13 what would you recommend on sizing for EDC and travel? (… based on the weight versus say the convenience of more space). Also any quick thoughts on leather color IRL - given you have the sand and one that’s darker? Thanks!
@@ChrisR65 I like my 13 for daily EDC but it’s a little too small as a travel satchel (size does matter haha). I like both Sand and the darker chocolate colour.
Oh, I forgot to ask. Would an 8.5” by 11” notebook that’s spiral bound at the top fit in the bag? I use those a lot and they just don’t fit in my current everyday bag.
Hi, would you guys think Venetian shoe cream is a good option to condition this veg tan leather? It would take multiple conatiners of Saphir renovateur to condition whole bag, any feedback is appreciated as always.
