I still love mine! I have had it for 3 months now. Everything works great. You do have to clean it usually a couple of times a week if you go in it every day. I bought a water vacuum at Walmart for $20, and it works great to get debris off the bottom. I also bought a small skimming net to be able to catch any hair that the filter doesn't. You do have to make sure you clean the filters at least once a week too, or you will notice a decrease in filter and heating of the water. Bubbles are fantastic and give you different places to sit for stronger or lighter bubbles. Bottom is very soft. Target had another sale last week on them. $350.00. I am very please and would continue to recommend this hot tub. And to be able take it down whenever you want?!!! Awesome...
The spa still works great for us haven't had any issues at all with it. Yes I said umm a lot I didn't plan on doing this video so I was just winging it, didn't think about writing a script and making it perfect was just trying to hit on all the points. As far as the size when it's disassembled I'd have to measure the box for exact dimensions but we store the box in our small attic no problems, thanks for the feedback. I will probably do a follow up review on it in the fall after I've had it for several months.
Heather Burleson Do you think the bubble one is better than the 4 jets? I found 2 kinds on Walmart.com www.walmart.com/ip/39150770?action=product_interest&action_type=title&item_id=39150770&placement_id=irs-109-b1&strategy=TRND1&visitor_id=D1rpAdE8qmG_q0aCR8nKEM&category=&client_guid=896933c4-e0fd-495b-87f6-3f698047b5d5&customer_id_enc=dcec009d-937e-4251-a734-bba32f7b025f&config_id=109&parent_item_id=28470690&parent_anchor_item_id=TREND1&guid=a5c64385-04c9-4056-b07e-2e8269b68814&bucket_id=irsbucketdefault&beacon_version=1.0.1&findingMethod=p13n
+Courtney Whitaker (Wilson) sorry I'm just seeing this comment, we love the bubbles, they don't spray directly on your skin but they are very relaxing!!
Heather, don't let these losers upset you. That's common when people are doing unscripted videos. It just shows what a rude, ungrateful society we live in. I appreciated your vide because I am actually considering one of these. So thank you!!
Very Good video. Thank you. You covered a lot of points especially the replacement filter cost and demonstrating everything about it. INTEX should give you money for this video. Very Good. Thanks!
Heather, thanks for doing this video! Don't worry about those that come on here to criticize. Your video helped us make the purchase of one of these. We are setting it up tomorrow and hope to enjoy it as much as you do. Thanks for the video!
Great freaking video!!! I just bought mine today. My water started at 59 degrees as well, so I guess it should be at 104 in 24hrs. Very impressed with the video though! I have watched a lot, and you hit almost every point...👍👍👍👍👍
Just ordered an Octagon Deluxe Bubble Jet and spa by intex.. It has 120 bubble massage and 4 jets that you can put on soft to strong, we are waiting on it to get to temp now.. Hope this is a good buy for my family!
I have the same tub on concrete patio.. I loved it for the first yr for Therapy, the second yr, the tub worked 2 times, heater did not work, called company, for another replacement ... heater DID NOT HEAT TUB ANYMORE, since its only garanteed for 1 yr they said to buy the whole control panel , which cost $280.00... I might as well buy the whole tub again... as far as sitting in hot tub & enjoying it, it was awesome while it lasted. hopefully u will have better luck then me . & YES I'm thinking of buying another one. I Live alone ... So it had been takin good care of.
I use a similar Pure Spa (28454 with bubble & jet) in Germany. Purchased it in August 2015. During winter, we also use the pool. We have temperatures from -10 to +10°C from December to February. We use it maybe 2 times a week. To save some energy I only hear the water up, before we use the pool. From 20 to 38°C it takes about 9 hours. If it's very cold outside, we leave the heater active during the whirl-session. I only use the massage-jets in winter, because the bubbles cool the water down too fast! I have a 4x3 meter very strong tend above the pool! ;-) At the concrete floor I built up a good isolating floor out of foam-plates. (Hope you understand my English, missing some words) ;-) Inside I have a tend-heater (gas) with 4500 Watt power, which is enough to get 20°C, when outside is 6°C. Better then nothing. If very cold I have a big petromax lantern in use, as an additional heater. I didn't fix the inflatable pouch inside the upper cover! I use it separate. So this thing is larger and fits exactly into the opening of the pool! The cover it's fixed above. I have a much better insulation during the very cold nights. I use about. 40 dollar for electricity for the pool during the cold times, about 30 during the warm times, because we use it nearly every day from spring till autumn. We are very happy with the whirlpool. It's a cheap alternative to a big hardcover pool. Since we learned how to keep the water in best condition with granulated chlorine (sometimes "shocking" the water with chlorine to get chloramine out of it), PH-conditioning (always at 7.0) and an ultraclear fluid which collects smaller dirt, which passes the filter, to bigger parts, our water lasts very long. I'd say 2-3 months is no problem. Our water is always crystal clear. After using the pool it takes about 8 hours of filtering to get the water absolutely clear again. I'll post a video of our pool inside a tend and outside at our terrace. Here are some pictures of the pool. Hope you enjoy it. If you have questions, feel free to ask me. I have some pool videos (absolutely non spectacular) at my channel. ;-) www.dropbox.com/sh/3gwtcku52yn936w/AABVq4HC-HD3sPK1nYwIshiza?dl=0
Would love to see what the set up process looked like and what it looks like when taken down. We would have to store ours when not here. How big is it when down? Great video!
Heather, I appreciate your review. My husband has chronic severe back pain and heat (water) will usually make him feel better. We have been talking about getting a hot tub for a couple of years but live in northeastern Washington and have been leery of one because of the cold winters. I have been thinking we need to have one put in an enclosed porch with a heater in the room to solve that problem. Do you know how an inflatable tub will hold up to extreme temperatures? Also, how hard is it to get into and out of these hot tubs? As for the Umms in your video, don't listen to the insults. I thought you were very detailed and hit on a lot of facts I was looking to know. Joel and Blacksugar need to learn some manners and appreciate your efforts to give some much appreciated feedback on a product that others are interested in. Thank you
thank you so much for your comment. I'm not sure how it would withstand extreme temeratures but a heated porch sounds perfect for it. getting in and out is pretty simple I'm only 5'2 and can easily step over the side, the sides are very sturdy so you could also sit on the side and swing your legs over the top.:)
*We bought one of these a little over a week ago and have used it daily🌼 **allabout.wiki/Intex-PureSpa** We love how easy it was to set up! Things to keep in mind is it takes a day or two to heat up to max temperature when using cold water to fill it. Also, if you use the bubble jets, it does cool the water down some, but the jets work really nice! The hot tub has been perfect on our patio. We also bought some anti fatigue mats to go under it so we did not feel the hard concrete on our patio. I would definitely recommend this product!*
Ok, here is a question regarding draining this hot tub. I believe there is a drain spout on the right side of the tub. Does it fit onto a normal garden water hose to allow the water to drain outside? I don't believe i have seen this discussed in any of the videos I have seen so far on this particular model hot tub. Also, what is the model number, as i see various ones and various prices at other areas such as Amazon or Ebay?
Mine lasted two years and started leaking air, tried to patch with no luck, will get a real one soon! Good hot tub for the short term, will not last very long....
Thanks for the review, I just got mine last week. 210 gal. octagon 4 person. Have you figured out the chemicals to balance it? Clorox app won't work for this water volume or material type. they only give you a floater and test strips. Any suggestions for chemical balance? Websites? Products? Other videos?
+psnurface Sorry i'm just now seeing this, I use products from Walmart that are made specifically for hot tubs, mostly I just shock it with non-chlorine shock tablets every few weeks and I keep chlorine tablets in the floater. I have on occasion had to use an enzyme cleaner to get rid of the oily residue that can occur with heavy use.
it's not recommended for temps below freezing, I live in Texas so we will probably be ok through the winter but in Michigan it probably wouldn't work well unless it was in an enclosed porch or something.
I read in one of your posts recently that you started having problems with it - any updates? Did you get it working again? How long did it work well before the problems started? Thanks for a great video! (Don't worry about the "UMs" - everybody does that in real talking, you just notice it when you record something for posterity! That's why professional actors get the big bucks! LOL :) Thanks for a great review.
So this isn't something you can leave out all winter? It doesn't keep the temp at the 104 degrees all the time? Or if you plan on using it one day this week you'll have to remember to head out the day before and turn in on? There wouldn't be any, Hey! let's get in the hot tub; oh wait we didn't turn it on yesterday type stuff?
cynsmi I agree. Ours is still working after almost a year except one control panel replacement. I actually wet tested 4 regular hots this past weekend, a Dreammaker, a Vita and two Bullfrogs. Prices ranged from $3500 to over $8000. To be quite honest I really didn't feel enough difference between our Intex and 4 I just mentioned to spend that kind of money on a regular hot tub. The Dreammaker was extremely weak, the Bullfrog wasn't too bad but I'll continue with our Intex until it breaks down and then decide what to do about it, will probably get the new Intex with the bubble ring and 4 actual jets.
it has a built in heater I think 1300 watt, it warmed ours from 59 to 104 in 24 hours and maintains the temp very well as long as you keep the cover on when not in use.
Mike Blackwood It's got a 1300W heating element in it. You don't set back to 60˚ everyday. You just turn it back a few degrees and the heater goes on and off just like any heater to maintain whatever temp you have set to. I believe ours is costing about $10-20/month to operate. You can go spend $5-10K on a hot tub, plus $800-1000 for electrical work, that runs on 240volts and has a 4000-6000watt heater that takes way less time to heat up but this thing is on sale about all the time for $350, so do the math.
Mike Blackwood BTW: I wet tested 4 hot tubs last weekend, Dreammaker, Vita and 2 Bullfrogs. The Dreammaker which I hoped I would like, was a too shallow and a wimp on jet power, the $8000 Bullfrog is the only one that felt as good on my back as the little cheap Intex and we can't afford an $8K hot tub, even if I could I wouldn't pay it, they're way over priced for what's there.
Yes you could put it indoors but I would make sure you have a waterproof surface such as concrete or tile to put it on, I read somewhere that this girl turned a spare bedroom into a little oasis by laying tile in there and putting this hot tub in there along with a little fountain and mood lighting!😁 sounds amazing to me!!
I have lupus and fibro. I am in the tub 3 times a day. My water bill is over the top. My husband wants to get me this but I thought you had to have special drywall, I think it's called blue board. Not really sure
+Cyndy Colangelo I'm not sure about that to be honest, it has a cover so when you aren't using it it would be covered, I don't think it would be much different than a bath tub when it's uncovered.
I need a life? What about you bud. what's it matter to you if we made a joke over a year ago? It's not like I cussed her out and said this is a terrible video or down voted it or anything. Was making a joke, and most people are intelligent enough to take it that way without getting offended.
Because I came here to actually see her review. You are the one who had to actually count the number of times she said ummm. So yes, get a life. And clearly you don't even understand how crappy and rude you and your buddy Joe's posts are. You are making a joke at her expense. That's not funny, that's being a POS!
+Bernice West My daughter and I had a great time last night! Sure wish we would have purchased this from bizarkdeal.blogspot.com/2016/01/homax-inflatable-hot-tub-spa-free.html the first time around!
We haven't had the best luck with this unit, we have had the entire base and control panel replaced and we are waiting on our replacement tub now, hoping it all works better as our warranty runs out the end of next month.
Yes I realized after the fact that I recorded it wrong but I wasn't about to go back and record it all over again just to please certain rude people that get their panties in a bunch because the video isn't as big as it could be! Get over it geez!
Ummm looks like your losing water Ummmm it was between the lines then Ummm on another shot Ummmm its below the ...Ummmm first line Ummm I think it may Ummmm have a hole in it UMMMMMMM
