Man, I really enjoyed that real world review. Well done sir. Like another said, audio was really low - but the content was outstanding. Thank you for doing this.
just bought this grill a hour ago.. comes tomarrow... I was looking for the low down, and not the sales pitch shit... my man hit the nail on the head... big up dude thanks much
I was wondering why I couldn't get my chicken to my desired temperature and your video answered my question. The recipe function outsmarted me. I didn't know it pulled back the temps once it achieved the temperature for the protein you pick in the app. Great video, thanks for the insight.
The wife just bought this for me for a birthday/fathers day gift. Upgrading from an electric smoker and an old Kenmore grill. I can't wait to use this badboy every day this summer. I looked at Taegers but those look so cheap and cost so much. Plus I like to grill too.
Just bought this same model last week and came across the same problem with the searing plate getting stuck. To remedy I cleaned the gunk off and rubbed oil on the pieces. Have adjusted my marinades to not include much sugar since that was what caused the gunk up in the first place. I'm still learning how to cook with pellets but I love the option to sear with gas (as well as opening the sear plate on the pellet side). But I'm loving this purchase so far. The food has come out amazing.
Thank you for the review, I really appreciate it. I especially liked your focus on the flam-broil handler and how it sticks over time. What has been your experience as far as cleaning it "frequently"? Is it something you do very often, or does it depend on how much food your smoking/grilling?
I appreciate you taking the time to do this. Just got it, first pellet stove, I have two questions because I am a moron. Is the flame adjustment just for searing? Would you normally keep it closed? Also where do you set your smoke adjuster? Full open full closed half?
Only had mine for 3months circuit board went out heard some others had same problem. Lot of money go out that fast. They are sending me a new circuit told me I can fix it my self WOW
Yeah looking at the wire diagram in the manual it looks to be a quick fix also I heard some guys are replacing the circuit board an getting the new upgraded one and it lets you use more set temps don’t quote me but look it up because if that’s the case I am gonna upgrade mine
Finally a review that shows more details and potential issues down the road. Still excited to take delivery of mine in a couple days. Thanks for the review! Also, how high can the pellet side of the grill get?
I just got this grill to. Did my 1st burn 2 days ago. Didnt know i had to do a burn on the propane side to. Its been 40 mi winds for 2 days. Have done my 1st cook yet. Had this almost a mo now. Was working 2much to even take the cover off🤣 cover
Hey, buddy I just purchased the same grill combo basically for the features you mentioned in this video so kudos to you. One question if you don't mind asking any light you may recommend? Thank you
Hey man, awesome review! Quick question, isn't it weird that the vent is on the grill side? I feel id lose so much smoke with those holes. Have you had any issues with that?
Great detailed video. I do have two questions if you would be so kind. I just cooked on the grill side for the first time ( chicken breast ) and they stuck to the grates. I had to scrape them off. Are you experiencing your food sticking on the grill side? If not, how do you prevent it? Also, do you know if someone sells a protection/shine for the outside of the grill? Thanks 😊
I’m seeing that the 1150 and 850 series have had a software upgrade to there controller. Was this a model that got the upgrade too? I see newer 850’s and 1150’s now have 5 or 10 degree increments and I’m sure other improvements, just wondering and hoping this model got it too. Thanks for a great review!
This model out of the box doesn’t have those increments but I heard the same that there is a update I don’t know how to do it or get the update on my controller
The dimensions of the pro series PB1100PSC2 grates are 9in x 19in of course you know they all differ. You can replace almost every part on this grill the manual that comes with the grill has all the part numbers and stuff you will need to order. My heat shield doesn’t have any rust I personally pull it out after 5 sessions and olive oil it down, also every other session I vacuum out my fire-pot and give it a quick wipe and clean out
For some reason mine doesn't heat up all the way and I have to adjust it through the app before it actually does ( I live in S.C. so it's not because of the cold) takes a while when it is working correctly. I also can't find how to control the smoke.
Smoke is just a setting on the pid controller when you see the “S” that’s the only way it will smoke on it’s own, but I bought a smoke tube fill it with the same pellets your using to cook with that’s how I get more smoke myself the temp on the controller try to push the controller knob to lock the temp when you set it on the smoker itself
So how does the food taste, does it do a good job smoking meat since it is a hybrid? What temperature increments does the thermometer go in? By 10, 20 or 50? Do you recommend this grill?
Have you had any issues with the temperature not getting up to the desired temperature. I've emptied all the pellets and started it again and its having problems getting up past 215 F..Help
I have never had that problem, is your controller going past 225 an the temps aren’t registering what your set at if Your controller is going past 225 and you can set it to whatever you want I don’t know you might have an auger issue but if your temps on your controller aren’t going past 225 do you need to get a hold of Danson and have them send you a new PID controller with the new upgrade
I have model too but have had some issues with the hopper not sliding pellets down during longer smokes. Have to monitor & push down with a chop stick or something. Any suggested remedies?
You have a swollen pellet in the auger I would try to push the auger button with no other pellets in the hopper to see if the pellet or pellets come out of the auger
@@blusmokechaser4902 Thank you for the play. I’m not sure that’s it as the pellets seem to come down the pipe when I’m pressing the auger button. It’s more so that the don’t always slide down the sides into the chute hole. I prob didn’t explain it well. I appreciate the video and feedback.
@@blusmokechaser4902 Yessir. They drop near the hole to the auger, but seem to have problems sliding down the hopper’s slope to refill that area. Thinking of draining the hopper and adding some cooling spray before my next reload. Just curious if anyone else has had similar issues and/or better remedies.

I buy everything based on reviews. Some said this was hard to put together ru-vid.comUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt some guy said 2 hours and 2 beers later. I didn't drink beer like I was going to. I didn't feel like going to the store. I'm assuming I would have had at least 3. I took my time. Stepped outside for a cigarette break a couple times but all in all it was about a 3 hour project for me but it wasn't like it was difficult or anything . Only pictures but everything is pretty organized and labeled although I didn't see any #s on the actual pieces like it shows in the diagrams. Only the screws were labeled. On the cardboard part of the packaging on the back side. I put it together in my living room too. It wasn't supposed to rain today but it's Michigan and I couldn't wait so I put it together in my living room. Without beer but beer would definitely have made it more fun that's for sure. I'm giving this a 5 for easy assembly. I'll update after it stops raining when I can take it out of my living room and cook some food on it. Hope this helps at least for people who think they can't put this together because I did and you can too . And there are extra screws. I got nervous and immediately came here to see if others had the same experience and they have. You're not doing it wrong. There will be extra screws. Be patient. Don't rush it. Drink beer. Happy assembling
