Review of the SA 315B Lama by Taog's Hangar in the Not So Deadly 3 & the Deadly 3 Idaho Bush Strips

Here is my quick review of the Taog's Hangar Aerospatiale SA 315B Lama that I have spent some time flying around today and last night. I love flying in the Idaho back country and so I chose to fly out of a couple of the airstrips in the Deadly 3 and the Not So Deadly 3 available on Orbx. These products were all paid for by me. Nothing was given to me or discounted or asked for my review. This is just my opinion and I do my best to tell you my views as truthfully as I can.
WARNING: I am a terrible virtual helo pilot, but I like the helos and it's a very nice change of pace.

Really nice video, subscribed now :) I have been flying nothing but helicopters in MSFS since getting my Virpil collective about a year ago. I did not have time to purchase the Lama yet, but will hopefully get it tomorrow. Taog has really earned a place among the top helicopter devs, together with HPG and FlyInside. Love the guy's attitude and passion.

Amazing heli, picked this up straight away, started a facebook group for these helicopters, trying to get some people together for some flights. Great review, these seem to be very few and far between in the sim. If you ever fancy a flight let i am game👍

It is a lovely copter but you didn't mention that the rotor goes in the opposite direction to most therefore you have to counter act the torque on takeoff using the opposite peddle input to normal also you shouldtry flying it in VR, ir's so emersive - I wasn't aware of the Idaho package from Ordx so that's on my Xmas list now - cheers

The terrain is not done correctly. And it catches your eye. In the mountains, when there is a valley between two mountain ranges, a river always flows there. Or at least the stream.

How do you activate the easy flight model?

It’s included in the zip. You replace the file by the same name that’s in the model folder, I think that’s where it is

I was using the normal model, then switched to the easy, but actually, I did not find that much difference. What is your experience?@@GrizzlyAir

What a great video! Thank you for the subtitles. That helps. Beautiful scenery as well. I considered purchasing the Bell 47 many times, and watching your video, it is very clear that it has great visibility as well making tours a treat. Thank you for sharing

Sure enjoy the MD500 series Yes, we are posers and pretenders for sure, but I love it. It gives me a chance to do something, even for pretend, that I would have loved to do in real life. Glad you watched the video or at least stopped by

@dadgametime7160 Not by choice. You spend prb thousands of dollars on a pc and all peripheral equipment, software. Funds that could actually be directed to a real life flying experience. But decide to take the easy road. Thus showing the lack of commitment. Hence thexterm "poser".

Damb Bro', chillax, Why he got to be a poser? There could be reasons why he's chosen to enjoy himself this way. He may not live close to all the training needed or have physical issues like myself. I left both my legs below the knees in Afganistan which makes real flight training a little bit more harrowing, but because I choose to enjoy a little simulation I guess I'm a poser too. You say he has a lack of commitment ... well you certainly are commited to making a perfect stranger feel like sh!t. Good job!

@DarthPlaya Do you always take comments so personally ???? Ask yourself; were my comments directed at you? If you answer yes to these two simple questions, perhaps you can seek additional mental help at your V.A. These delusional pc pilots keep show up on my feed. I always tick "not interested" but the algorithm can't decipher reality from fantasy when it comes to Aviation videos. So I lash out. You know what? Feels dam good. Godspeed...
