You are great man. You are educating people properly. I wasn't aware about dimmer and I was totally ignorent about the opening of this light and about type of cell/battery in this light. Actually you made the real educating RU-vid video. Thumbs up bro.
God bless you ! ... for the video. Since 2017 i had different models. After watching this video i ordered 2 headlamps like this because i know that type of battery last long.
Thanks for taking this flashlight apart , I see that it has an 18650 Lithium ion battery , that's awesome that it has sutch a big battery , Thank You :)
Was looking for a how-to open this headlamp - because after some months of usage, the charging port seems to have become lose - and charging only takes place when setting the cable and lamp at a very specific angle - which is a hassle. Was pretty hard to find the video - because there's no model or manufacturer of the lamp, of course. China does China things. Thanks for the video, will open it up and solder back the contacts. Overall a good little headlamp - especially for the price. Ordered four more of these on November 11, 2022 from Aliexpress, haven't arrived yet. Greetings from Latvia.
Gracias a tu vídeo pude ver cómo funciona. Lamentablemente el mío no vino con el punto de atenuador de luz , solo cambia de luz . No atenúa 😞 , muy bueno tu vídeo gracias.
These have a dimmer?? I just bought three for $10 at Menards and the box doesn’t mention a dimmer at all. They’re really too bright working inside so a dimmer will come in very useful! Thanks!
I have flashback it was as easy as opening the cap and replace the battery not complicated soldered like this. but then when i try again, it is hard and this one seems accurate. or there might be other version with simple battery slot like casual flashlight?
lol i bought a set of 2 of these for like 6 dollars or so and man they suck but for 3 dollars i couldnt complain lol but i did take the battery it came with and threw it away and i put my own 18650 battery in it so now the run time is crazy long but it also charges slow as hell lol only 2 watts at most
I may be 2 years late but for those who seek answers, here they are: How long until full charge: impossible to measure because it depends on the quality of the battery (which may depend on batches). Full charge indication: not available on this head lamp, unfortunately. How to replace a battery: pry it open like the video, cut/remove the original battery and solder a new one in. Better yet, because there is no full-charge indicator, I suggest attaching a 18650 battery holder and putting in a fully charged battery whenever you want. Then remove the battery and charge it with a certified 18650 battery charger to prevent over-charging, which could result in fire hazards.
i ordered two its very useful but the problem is so easy discharging. i charged on my solar charge controller and the light indicator is blinking, after a few hours it stops which i presumed its fully charge. i used it again continuously but few minutes later the light started to dim, thus the battery (18650) shoud be replaced with a branded one.
To stuck it to something if you are doing repairs, like a car or metal shelf, but as a hiker I don't like it because it might mess up a compass when I carry them in my backpack
