I love this brush, it's not water proof but if you want to just quick sketch at public, you can carry with you one black and one of those water brush, so u draw and after you push the ink through the drawing with the water brush. It will lead a very beatiful and espontaneous shadow. Never used any color, just black.

I just ordered the pocket one yesterday for Inktober and I was tempted to buy the gray one from this set, but after watching this video I think I'm not gonna get it since it is too dark for me. Thanks!

Nice review on these brush pens. I don't like to waste plastic refill use a syringe and filled it with Noolder's black ink, there is some kind of valve or tube in this barrel so i have to squeeze the ink in carefully. Works well so far and i may mix ink colors to see how it turns out. If they make them with clear barrels so you can see the ink color and much ink is inside would be neat. :)

I have the Kuretake Art-Kure brush pens which are very similar. You mentioned a video on refilling the brush pens with fountain pen ink, which is something I have wanted to try to do, and this would be very useful. I enjoy watching all your videos.

Oooh, very nice. Now that I am seriously working on value studies practice these look quick and convenient. I like the way it washes out to a gradient. I like the Pitt Artist Brush pen in black for Notans.

Looks like a lot of fun to draw with.😊 I think I'm going to get a set. Once empty I'm going to refill a black one with Platinum Carbon Ink for fountain pens

Quick question for you: Just curious, do you know if it is possible to take pigment-based ink (like India Ink) and thin it out (maybe with distilled water or rubbing alcohol) so that it could be used in the capillary systems of fountain and brush pens? Any insight would be much appreciated, thank you in advance!

Does anybody here knows why my pen split ink all the time? Ican't even use it, I don't know if the pen is always like that or mine is broken.

I have not seen one but have you done a review of the different blacks of the brush pens? I recently bought a couple of different ones of the Japanese brand and a Kuretake one also but I'm not sure of the difference. on some paper the shades are a little different and on others it's the same. Thanks :)

does anyone have issues with the ink drying? I've had my paper drying for like 30 mins and it still smudged :(

I got my today and wanted it to try it out but the ink didn't come out. So I thought I should put ink in there. I opened it and then the ink went out and now my fingers are black :/ but the brush doesn't work properly

I wonder if the cartridges are interchangable between models for the water based models that all appear to be the same design except for the different brush tips and sizes...ie, can I successfully replace a color cartridge in the standard pentel brush pen non color (just black dye based ink) water based model?

Great video and informative. Interesting tool but... Disposable plastic cartridges. Why would they even make something like that? It becomes more of a concern everyday. The more I learn the more I want to use as environmentally clean tools to carry out my activities. I am not a raving environmentalist but I think that everyone should work towards getting a cleaner world. I was thinking about this and as it is not water fast or clean for the environment and it has expensive replacement cartridges that makes three strikes in my world. Oh well try again manufacturers....
