I received a pre-release set of skates and can attest to the positive review reflected in this video. Every part of the skate is well thought out, designed and manufactured. I have a pair of intuition liners and superfeet (for intuition liners) and I have chosen to ride the stock liners and footbeds because they are so very comfortable. No after-market additions are required to upgrade this skate; it is a masterpiece. I have been skating since the early 90s and this skate is far and away the best overall skate design. I would recommend this skate over the Powerslide and FR offerings...although FR is a fantastic skate. I have a pair of Powerslide Next skates and I am underwhelmed by the design choices and materials of manufacture (including boot plastic and cast aluminum frames). In short: the Rollerblade Twister XT is highly recommended and you cannot go wrong with picking a pair up.
@@marlonmj5 I would say the support of the Twister is superior to the PS Next. The cuff is nearly the same height; the major difference is the liner: the new Twister liner has a plastic cover on the front side and it also has four (4) lacing holes (2 each side) near the top of the liner which, in my opinion, greatly improve the support of the skate. I have a set of Intuition liners which I do not use because the new Twister liners are so well designed, constructed and comfortable. As a side note: the Twisters come with three (3) sets of laces. The set which are in the skate when they ship are the short laces which will not be able to lacing hole in the liner. The other two sets of laces are longer and have the extra length to lace the entire lacing column. One set is black and one set is yellow.
Just bought the twister xt, and this was pretty helpful. Appreciate the information given here. Really hoping the community gets bigger. I'm new to inline skating so I'm glad to see someone out there putting this stuff out there on specific skates.
Do you know when the next shipment of these skates will be coming out? Also will you be doing a video on high-end carbon boots such as the HC Evo, Adapt etc?
I'm surprised there's no mention of the RB Pro X. They fit my feet perfectly so I'm thinking they have essentially chosen me. I don't love that the buckles are riveted and the cuff isn't removable. I'd like to know your thoughts on them. A full review would be awesome!
Cor sure the twister feels better i upgrated ALL the parts on my skate though. Even the cuff. The reason is because of the trinity mount. But maybe i should do a trinity custom on the twister. Hmmm
@@Thisissoul if that trinity maxxum ever gonna happend i hope there will be a video of that, that sounds like an amazing skate, but would probably require removing the metal plates?
Thanks. will this cuff work for all older/classic RB Twister model? I have a 15+ year old RB Twister but struggling to find a replacement. (Of course will still need to choose the correct size cuff)
Actually that is because we did not put them online. We had so few quantities and sales online were so high that we descided to keep them and sell them in store instead.
The consistency of your video release is remarkable. The channel becomes the inline skate encyclopedia. Thank you. I'm going to buy Superfit insoles because you've raved about them so much.
I got mine a month ago! I won them on a giveaway! I changed the frames to Endless 90s and Myfit Crown Liners. The boots are so much lighter that they used to be
@@freshasadaisy4782 if you compare them to the previous ones. I have the Twister Edge X boots and if you weight them alone the new ones are lighter. That's without the liners, frames and wheels
Thank you for a great review! You mentioned Intuition liner as a possible upgrade - would it be possible to do it after getting these skates in the size that fits with the original liner? RB liners might not be as padded as FRs, so downsizing RB skates for Intuition liners might not be as important as with FR shells. There are some shell sizing guides for wizard skates, but I couldn't find anything for RB
I want to buy bet twister XT or maxuum XT. What is difference besidea 90 mm wheels , I'm an experienced skater been skating since rollerblade first came.
