I got this version directly from the creator and as a "recovering catholic" I cannot agree more that this is some of the most well curated religious snark FOR ME and I am enjoying it very much. Quality is better than I thought and I am 100% behind the way the art has been chopped, as if we sneakily noticed in the corner of a revered religious work that "something isn't quite perfect here" and that brings me much healing joy.
I'm loving this deck. It shuffles like butter. Such a nice experience all the way around . I was a little worried with the finish but it's shuffles great. Looks so good too. Kick ass art
I owned the earlier edition but passed it on. While I liked the unusual source material and borders, the cards seemed to have a slightly cold blue cast over them and the resolution was a tad fuzzy. I like that this edition has tweaked the color palette such that the images seem warmer, but enlarging the borderless images doesn't appear to have helped in sharpening their resolution. And while some of these images retain satisfying borders, others seem randomly cropped in a haphazard manner making me think of classic art in history books with zoom-in details and leaving me wondering what elements I'm missing out on seeing from the original full paintings. While these images do intrigue me, I feel like Kat Black's Golden Tarot does a much better job at collaging history in a more refined manner.

I’m totally with you on the train wreck of weirdness that is medieval era art. I have been watching multiple walk-thrus and unboxings of this one by various people, and I’m probably going to have to break down and get it. I want to geek on the source art and it’s relevance to the cards, but I will also probably read with it. 😈
I backed this deck. I love the weird art of these few hundred years. I knew I liked the deck, but I’m glad I waited for the borderless edition. I ended up loving this deck. It reads surprisingly well. I really only use it for myself, but I’ve read for 2 of my friends with it and it gave some really interesting readings. I feel we always need more whimsy in life and this deck def serves. I try to just take it as kind of a surrealist vibe- while I realize it is a completely different era and style of art…the lack of diversity is with a grain of salt since white European was the artwork en mass that the creator had to choose from. Overall I very much like it. My main decks I use are queer, so this is just for fun. I hope you have fun playing with it. Thanks for sharing with us 😊
