But you’re asking why the flashlight is on the gun during the day right? What do you suggest then? Is he supposed to remove the flashlight from the gun whenever the lighting conditions change? That doesn’t seem logical at all. The gun should be equipped the way it is intended to be used at all times and you should train with the gun as equipped to maintain consistency.
