The seats are like you said, very supportive, but are not made by Recaro, but by Opel themself. Have the exact same car and color, mine is a 2013 model, done just 31000 km from new, very happy with it 👍😎 cheers from me in Norway
Have had a stage 1 tuning done to my car, up from 280 hp/400nm to 315/465nm, highly noticeable! 👍😎Stock boost pressure is 1.5 bar and Stage 1 is around 1.7/1.8 ish bar
Hi Shane, thanks for taking the time to do this review. It's far and away the best, most informative, and in-depth review of the Astra OPC on YT. I've watched it several times over that last few weeks, while I searched for one myself. As I sit here now, I'm waiting for my VXR to be delivered (Flash blue as it happens!) Excellent review, still helping people - and just as relevant today, in 2020, as it was back in 2016 when you filmed it. Thank you very much Shane.
Shane, just watched this last night and again this morning. Excellent review, very well done, there are detail points, but others have made those points. Great job, and the car is great too.
Very addictive car, hard to stop driving it, and the build quality? Excellent, on both the vxr and the non vxr GTCs, I also drove the far less powerful 1.4turbo, not as exciting, but still, very competent fast car, with a feeling of solidity.
Unfortunately, the car underestimated by the society, technically sensational for a car with a 2-wheel drive revelation cheaper than FOCUS RS and less emergency than it :) some say with an old shack, but opel built this car is the only one of its kind is the perfection of COUPE
0-62 mph is actually 5.9 secs not 6.4 plus 36 mpg combined for this car? no chance...i own one and i get 26 mpg on a good day. It's a stunning looking car but it has a few annoying niggles like whining when turning corners slowly in low gears....when changing from 1st to 2nd it sometimes slips out of 2nd...eco start/stop on by default plus rear window visibility is poor. Overall though it's a pretty fast powerful albeit heavy feeling hot hatch and a lot of fun to drive.
Nice car, review is ok but could be better. 1. Speak slower, couldn't understand you completely when u said smt about the steering wheel. 2. If u want to be a respectable youtuber plz use SI system of measurements (36 MPG is in liters ....) or at least mention them 3. Fix the cracking in the video while driving a car.
Promise Pebane well if u live in Ireland or the U.K. it’d be easier to find a vauxhaull astra VXR than a right hand drive opc. Of course they don’t make these anymore but I’d say the U.K. is the best place to source one.
