Review: The New 2012 "Nerf" Super Soaker LightningStorm Blaster 

@dacushion If you're looking for a simple throwback to the Entertech AK Centerfire, the thunderstorm is worth getting. The LightningStorm's essentially a gimmick re-hash due to the shield, stock and drum mag.

I saw this blaster with out attachments but with a mag at a goodwill but my mom would not let me get it because it looked "old" and it was a little yellowed but it had batteries and it worked just fine :(

It would look good with the stock without the shield and a regular sized mag

i dont know if you noticed but the main blaster is the same as the Nerf thunder storm the only difference is it comes with:stock,shield and a drum mag

i understand using batteries in a Nerf gun but in a water gun.Realy

the batteries are in a sealed compartment, the gun can be submerged. furthermore, the batteries themselves are in a separate area than the pump. there have been lines of toy water guns since the 80s that have run batteries. I'd say this set up is fun and you are being rediculous.

maybe its being released now because its summer in Australia, where there could be a bigger demand for super soakers

it's funny and it works quite well I mean it's continuesly shooting which is a great advantage against people that need to pump! downside: it doesnt shoot alot of water and it doesnt shoot far

No, they brake if they come in direct contact with water. ... Unless you spill while refilling, they're all pretty waterproof.

Its a bit dangerous to play with a battery powered water gun. If the water somehow gets clogged up, it can soak the batteries causing it to leak acid which can cause burning skin, severe, critical injuries and even DEATH if the battery acid is near the heart, neck and head. It's critical that you are careful when you use battery-powered water guns. i've got to say, hasbro really didn't think about this as far as i'm aware of.

yes it is waterproof. i tested it for a continuous hour.

Yes, they are. You can completely submerge the gun without worries; however, the company cannot legally condone this due to risk of defects in workmanship.

yes it will most likely work in water because the other electronic one me and my friend use in his pool all the time so yeah it will work in a pool.

the battery tray has a curve at one corner so you can't put it in wrong.

The gun is the same but, the lightning storm product just comes with accessories, a different paint job and a bigger clip

i have this blaster as well and with mine its realy hard to take the clip out wtf

I would have gotten rid of the sheild and the stock and put them on my nerf. Because the sheild blocks the water which is no fun and the stock makes it dumb looking.
