nice explaination .... its good to use a BMS with 5100 no inbuilt protection and its designed in that way.

I have a bunch of those boards and all of them are "old" version. I went looking around local sellers and they all have "old" version as well. I went on aliexpress and I couldn't find the "new" version either. Where did you get it from?

Very nice and thorough explanation. I also saw your other video where you connect the TP4056 in parallel to increase the Amps. Can you also parallel connect the TP5100 the same way ? I’m looking to see if I can get 8.4v charge at 10amp by parallel connecting 5 of these little guys. Each one only supports 2amps.

If wr want to connect it with a 3W 8.97v 3A solar panel adding two 18650 3.7v batteries or one battery of 4v

It looks like the old board may have had a "VCC" and "Vout" reversed on the silkscreen.

HI, would you please suggest few purchase link for redesigned charger module, where a bigger capacitor is replaced by two smaller capacitors and one resistor.

I always had an issue with the TP4056 where I stick my battery in and it begins to charge then when it is done I pull the battery out, but the light never goes back to red even when I insert another 18650 that needs to be charged. I have to remove the power from the 4056 then put the power back then insert another 18650. I have 20 of them and they all work this way as if it finishes the charge cycle and latches forcing a power down to happen before it will work again. Any idea?

I have quite a few variations of TP4056 boards but I haven't seen any behaving this way. Maybe you have a bad batch?

@@vuaeco Could be as they were purchased last year on Amazon. I live with it, but not a fan of the TP4056.

@@generalawareness101 These boards are made cheaply (hence the price) so quality control is not their priority. I have quite a few failed over the years.

is the first burnt board burned because reverse input voltage from power supply, or reverse battery ? because in the specs it's listed "reverse battery shutdown"... im looking for reverse polarity protection for battery side, since tp4056 unable to do that.

Sayın Dostum.Konuyla ilgili kullanılan bms kartları ve elektronik bilgiler çerçevesinde bir sorumu iletme ihtiyacı duydum.Çünkü mevcut video paylaşıumcılarına aynı soruları sormakla birlikte farklı,kolaycılığa uönlendirilen cevaplarla karşılaşmam.Elimde mevcut 90 ledli bir ışıldak var.Kuru 6v 2i3ah olan aküsü bitik.Onu söktüm.Sadece onun yerine 2adet üzerinde 2s bms kartı olan lion 18650 pili seri bağladım.Işıldak her kademede alışıyor.Kendi 220 şarj giriş fişini çektiğimde formatı gereği elektrikler kesildiğinde otomatik yanıyor.Sorun.Kendi kart sistemi ve üzerindeki 7v trafosu ile eski kuru aküsünü şarj ediyordu.8.4V olan seri pilleri şarj edebilsin diye trafoyu söküp 9v bir trafo taktım.Işldağı fişe taktığımda şarj kırmızı ışık yanıyor.Piller ısınmıyor.Sadece trafo hissedilir ısınma gösteriyor.Trafo girişlni doğru bağladığıma eminim.Trafonun diğer 4 ayaklı kısmından sağdan 2 soldan 2 ayağından pillere şarj götürn kablo,diğer 2 ayağından ledlere giden kablo götürdüm.Sorunum ışıldağın kendi ünitesi üzerindsen şarjının sağlanması trafonun 4 ayaklı kısmında aol ve sağdaki uçların artı eksi durumu varmıdır.Yoksa Farketmez mi?Takıldığım bir yerde burası oldu.Amatör bir uygulayıcı ve izleyici olduğum için böyle sorularımızı sormak durumunda kalıyoruz.Mahzur görün.Teşekkür ediyorum.

2A for 8.4 volts is too much. You need to remove one R100 resistor.

according of datasheet form tp5100 Vin should be less or equal 12V. if you use more tp 5100 will burn. and for output 8.4 volts, input 9.6 to10 volts is enough... check the value of Rs - if is too small the current will be bugger, and sometimes producer of the pcb put elements with wrong value...
