I call in at Tracey's cafe every time every time I am back in Wrexham. Great food, great service with lots of banter. Some people would say, well Dave is your brother, however this really is good food, good service with some lovely down to earth customers.
Lol I remember the old joke shop. I found a fiver on the bus when i was a kid. and i spent it all in the joke shop back in the 80s. I remember eating at the cafe too. Good memories
Just had a nostalgic trip watching an old Dave Allen special and then this video comes up on my feed. Here I am sitting in a flat on a rainy humid evening in Sydney Australia watching a bloke eat pie, chips, peas and gravy (nom nom) in an old market in Wales. Bless you! Actually reminds me a lot of when I visited Glasgow and visited the Barras Markets. They were more run down but as you have shown it's the people that work and shop there that are so wonderful and welcoming. Thanks for showing people the magic of markets.
On the right as you walk in used to be a butchers and opposite... In 2010 me and my ex Polish wife had a cake stall here and in the old Ecclestons in King Street. I ran the Butchers Market stall in the ex butchers on the right as you walk in off the High Street.
We was at the market last month and I bought some sausages from the butchers shop and I can honestly say thay was the best I've ever had, proper traditional! Now I've seen this video we're coming back next week and will have pie and chips here and a few pound of them sausages! we are from Barmouth 🙂
Not been to the butchers market in years but have eaten at Tracy's many times and yes I remember the joke shop I normally eat at the Horse and Jockey pub with the thatched roof when I visit Wrexham is that still good there Christmas Dinner was always amazing I think a trip on the train is calling PS Buckley 👍👍🥧🍟🫛
