Review: Tuned 2015 Maserati Ghibli S Q4 - Standing Out From The Crowd 

I’m 46 and have owned trucks and SUV’s the last 26 years. Prior i was a TransAM and Camaro guy. Yesterday i pulled a midlife crisis purchase and put my truck equity down on a 2017 black on black SQ4 Nesmo 1 of 450 made. Anddddd wow, I’m 16 again. 2 days ago My neighbor who is from Nigeria said.. “ Chris, you only live once Mannnn“ i even have a carbon fiber spoiler coming and all the way around tinted it day 1 ! I can’t afford a corvette w 3 kids and a wife w an Amazon addiction, so this fits the bill. My package looks much more menacing than the one you are driving. Thank you for the review, Matt! Nice review. I’m debating buying a newer one. I tune everything I own so it’s good to see a review of one that is tuned. That exhaust is amazing for being factory! These are hands down the best way to get a twin turbo v6 without spending an arm and a leg, plus you get a nice luxury car in the process. Lol I’m def going to test drive one this week. That’s saying something from a devout Audi S/RS guy.

Your first maserati review, Matt? Congrats haha. If you can ever get your hands on a new 2018 Ghibli I’m sure you’ll be much more impressed with that than this, due to the facelift and better materials imo. Coming for a 2014 owner haha.

Just a quick fact check -- curb weight is at 4100 and change for the SQ4 and 3950ish for RWD models

They hate this car because they don't have money for purchase something like this! That's the real reason and they bring in front cars like Kia,Hyundai, Chevy....! Ha ha ha...

OMG I never seen such a beautiful car pull that hard😭 and not in sport. He stepped on the gas and the throttle response wasn’t there it seemed like it😭✋🏽😂until it started pulling hard and I was oh😭✋🏽

If I'm not mistaken, this is the same basic engine architecture as the Alfa Romeo Quadrafolio, which of course is derived from the Ferrari F430 :)

I got say maserati has very nice and sporty styling and they also have a very aggressive engine sound but it lacks in features that other cars have by default. A 2007 toyota prius had bluetooth and this car does not and there are other weaknesses. But it looks and sounds very good.

So I can currently get a loaded Ghibli SQ4 with less than 20,00 miles for only $35K Alternatively, I can get a new Kia Stinger GT1 for around the same price. What would you get?? (Taking into consideration that the Masi is only 33K)

I doubt the validity of those numbers. A stock SQ4 does like 280 awhp. A tune isn't gonna bring that to 490awhp. And even if it was doing 530to the crank, the awhp should be closer to 420 awhp. 490 to the wheels from 530 crank is only like 8% drivetrain lose. Awd vehicles suffer closer to 20% or more drivetrain lose.

Why people still hate the ghibli, this car born in 1967 two doors, now they build the car again , four doors and in my opinion is the sexiest four door car at the moment , always some people wants to compare the car with a super cars and this is nooooot a super car please ghibli is not yet super car. This thing loses value like a hot cake. A 2015, with around 30K miles, is running about $28-30K in 2018.
