Got mine yesterday and it's amazing. The amount of bits of food that you could never find no problem for the waterpik 660. I would recommend it to everyone and children as it's gentle at the lowest setting. My teeth are tight together but the water gets through. Think I might get addicted to it. So easy to use. Compact.☺ March 2022
hello! i was wondering how long these last? i’ve read that these last a year or so and replacements are regular. if true, how long did this last for you?
Mine was used for over a year and still worked fine when I replaced it with another. I replaced it because I test other oral irrigators and take whatever I was using out of service. To put it another way, I've never had one stop working because of old age, and some waterpiks have worked for over 4 years before being phased out of operation.
What would you recommend for someone with 2 crowns supported by implants, 2 bridges supported by implants and 4 crowns from root canals? I am in my 50's and dedicated to longevity and well-being so I'll invest. At this point I am interested in a Flosser and Brush combo, good power but not too loud. With the implants, I am, of course, focused on gums and spaces in between. Any suggestions? Thanks for your reviews and feedback!
I would recommend you getting a Sonicare electric toothbrush amzn.to/2JSbaUj, and a separate water flosser. Either a WaterPik or my new value favorite, H2ofloss hf-9 amzn.to/2JObYd8. The HF-9 is the quietest water flosser I've heard. It's the one I use.
Hello, I just wondering, if I already have the WP-100 would it be worth upgrading? Also, is the noise it makes any quieter than the WP-100 (Previous Models)? The loud noise has always been a concern for me and the website advertises that it's quieter. Thank You.
01101000 In my opinion it is definitely not worth upgrading. And you won’t get any appreciable difference and loudness. Many people complain the 660 is very loud.
Great review. I wonder if you can give an updated review on this product since this is done in 2018. Would you still think the lightweight is indeed a cheaper version? From my research, the manufacturer gives a limited 3-year warranty. Thanks! :)
Anderson Lee I cant argue with a 3-year warranty. I’ve moved to using an H2Ofloss HF-9. It’s quieter, much less expensive, comes with nasal irrigation tips, has a large water capacity and has worked really well. Here’s my review of it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z0cbEdX3Wqk.html
E D I do not have any problems with the WaterPik model. Nor did I experience or see any mold. However if there was mold inside the handle, which is possible, I never noticed it. I do prefer the H2Ofloss model that I currently own however.
Abner I received the new one for review. I prefer the older unit. Pressure was similar. Don't think that more pressure somehow equates to better. You can actually hurt your gums with too much pressure.
good comprehensive review, i have a oralB one, but i always prefered the wp100 my folks have at their home because the pressure is superior. How do you rate the 660 pressure in comparison to the 100 ? Thanks
I can't say. I never used a high pressure on my teeth/gums and since I no longer have either of these units, I am unable to compare them. I've switched to a H2OFloss HF9 model. amzn.to/2XBFScs
Nice review of the WP-660. I have a tiny bathroom, no counter space. Your measurements seem larger than what Waterpik states. I do Like all the features WP-660 has to offer, but considering the Cordless Advanced Water Flosser. I am not thrilled with the low water pressure comparing to the WP-660. My only option is to keep the corded flosser next to my kitchen sink. Sigh!
Do any particular steps need to be taken after each use in order to keep it from getting mildew? It doesn't mention anything in the instructions, but I have seen people having issues with mildew. I assume that the unit can just be run with an empty reservoir to clear out the majority of water in the pump, tubing and wand. Thanks
I’ve not had any issues with mildew where I live. Although they don’t mention this in the user guide, I suppose you could run a mixture of white vinegar and water through the machine every so often to clean things out. You could also just submerge the handle in a similar mixture and then rinse
@@michaelerbreviews Nono. And I am not kidding. My dentist recommends using one teaspoon of Clorox with 20 oz of water in waterpik to clean the gum, daily. Not to clean the machine. But for the gum
@@michaelerbreviews Thanks I ended up buying the 660 because it was on sale for $40 and I only had an hour left on that sale. I hope I don't regret the purchase.
I've never had to open my handle. Generally you would need to use a plastic spudger tool to pry open the halves of the case which have tabs inside keeping it closed.
I would actually recommend the H2Ofloss HP-9, a better value, more quiet, larger water tank, more accessories. But if you're committed to WaterPik, I like the WP-100.
No issues when I discontinued using it over a year ago. However, I discontinued using it because I've switched to an h2ofloss HF-9 which is more quiet, larger water capacity and comes with nasal irrigation tips too. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z0cbEdX3Wqk.html
Hi Michael Thanks for the review. I've been trying to make the decision to get this Water Pick and the WP 900. Perhaps I'll go with Both. Gonna have to look at the reviews for WP 900. Ill more than Appreciate your take on which one to purchase. Hey and its good to be your name Sake. lol. Cheers. Michael
Michael Richardson There’s a new kid on the block, the H2Ofloss HF-9. It is extremely quiet and I actually like it more than the WaterPik at this point. It is also a much better value. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z0cbEdX3Wqk.html
Jason Lurf Here’s how it usually goes down at my dentist office. I go in for my twice yearly cleaning. The hygienist remarks how excellent my teeth and gum health is. She might ask me whether I floss daily. I will tell her I do not floss at all but only use a WaterPik and a sonicare toothbrush. She will say “good work”.
Good to know. My dentist office recommends a waterpik, or one of the assistants at least. You know how people are when they come out of a service and tell their friends and families about a place that recommends something but the friends and families usually just say not to buy it because they make money off it too. I just wanted an independent observation with no bias.
I stopped using this one although it still worked. I had to test another brand and continue to use that one. This is the one I use right now www.amazon.com/H2ofloss-Capacity-Multifunctional-Countertop-Irrigator/dp/B010NNIZQE It was a great value when I originally got it.
