Apparantly there is one versin for Video and one for Photo. Pardon the ignorance, but they look the same on the pics, is there such a difference between both, that I could us the video one for photo work. The price is steep and cannot afford both. Your advice would be greatly appreciated... thanks
Hi, I am thinking of getting the X-Rite colour Passport for video. I have Colour Finale in Final cut pro which supports this. You mentioned software, would I have to buy that as well. thanks, Jerry
You can use the Colour Checker (and balance colours using it) in almost any software that has a colour corrector function but the little plugin I mentioned (as I recall) is only for FCPX
I can't really give a tutorial in a RU-vid comment but in essence you use a colour wheel to amend the colours as recorded from the chart so they hit the right vectorscope spots.
