I just recently bought an Xiaomi Air Humidifier through Amazon and happened to have problems to connect the device into the wifi. Through try and error I figured out that the device I bought was produced for the Italian market (shipped from Italy) and then shipped to Germany where I live by Amazon. Thus I changed the location in the Mi Home App to Italy and could easily add the device into my wifi. Before doing so I was not able to see the WiFi Name of the device and such I could not connect my phone to the device in order to include it into the WiFi. So for everyone who is buying Xiaomi products from Amazon, just keep in mind from where the product is being shipped to you. You might just have to change the country in your Mi Home App on your smartphone in order to connect the device into your WiFi.

Hello, have you tried using distilled/filtered water instead of tap water and see if those brown grim still appears?

Being relatively same humidity countries, i would like to ask, does this product help bringing down the humidity if the room is above 60%?
