Why yamaha isnt selling a wr450f with the big horseshoe tank and a adv fairing is beyond me, i would buy it in a second. I know they have the T7 but a Wr with the rally bits would be KILLER.
I have halve a Dakar WR, have the tank and the exhaust..😝😝😝 but was wondering if the YZ and WR wiring harnass can be exchanged so I can fit a GET ecu too.. 🤔
Great bike, but there are others apart from KTM and Husqvarna . Honda has factory replica too, there is Fantic 450 , AJP PR 7 ( 600) , and new on the market KOVE 450 rally ..... May be not for Dakar , but good all around rally bikes and less than half of the price .....
It would probably be easier for most to come closer to the correct pronounciation if they read it as Huskvarna which is the correct way to say it. It is the town where Husqvarna was founded in the late 1600s and where the company got its name. In 1906 the town changed the spelling to Huskvarna with a K instead of a Q. I do not expect anyone to nail the swedish pronounciation, just like i don't pronounce Kawasaki with a japanese accent. However, for anyone wanting to know the correct pronounciation in swedish, husqvarnas promo video intros, and the wikipedia page for Huskvarna city.
You seriously would even want that roll chart system with a few ridiculously tall bracket needed I love the bike but have ZERO want of the ugly as sin and useless (to me) stupid tall bracketry and motorized chart system....give me a much lower more aerodynamic fairing/windscreen with a really nice large TFT display/ electronic navigation system (GPS) ....I think a lot of guys don't think why that ridiculous fairing is there and start to assume it looks cool ....trust me IF there were a way they could fit all that shift WITHOUT it being ridiculous looking? They WOULD ....but on those rally routes finding the way as fast as possible is key and so winning teams HAVE TO have the roll chart hence massive bracket and UGLY as sin fairing shape hampering visibility ....But for mortal human beings NOT competing in these week long thousands of mile rallies? Without support of chart makers and technicians updating shit etc? Most of what you see piled up on the front of these bikes? You seriously would NOT want on your personal adventure bike ....PERIOD ....other than to look like an asshole poser? ....I will confess the fairing/bracket on this bike is better looking than others like Honda and KTM but still it is over the top! Ya know?
