What are you talking about?? You think a quality Swiss made watch like this is gonna get damaged if it's not placed on a fluffy cushion? Gently placing a watch on a hard surface is not going to cause any damage at all. Trust me - I speak from plenty of experience. These watches are made from high grade stainless steel and scratch resistant sapphire crystal, plus scratch resistant ceramic bezels etc. You do not need to worry about them being in contact with something harder than cotton wool. My watches are in mint condition and I don't 'baby' them.

Yes, it's very comfortable. The edges are angular but not sharp. The edges are polished to a smooth rounded finish.

Hi - in terms of quality, they are both very similar. They also both make great dress watches but if you want to wear it at the gym and other sports or physical activities, then I would go for the Oris on the bracelet. It just feels a bit more robust and is a better 'all rounder' in my opinion.

Hi, if your priority is a serious, rugged dive watch then I suggest the Mido 600. If luxury and classy style is what you want, then go for the Longines.

No, I don't think it will because it is a slim case with curved lugs and 41mm is a compact size. The 43mm version would probably look too big but this 41mm version should look good on 6.3 inch wrist. 👍

Thanks for the tip - I did do this once before on a cheap watch and it turned out fine. You have inspired me do be brave and do the same on this. I'm sure it would look 100 times better. I just need to be a man about this, flex my muscles and do it😜 Might watch a few Rocky movies first just to get psyched up. 💪

@@wristwatchdave422 Whahah right on Rocky! Mickey and Apollo would be proud of you! Haha but seriously, I've done this many times with cheap and expensive watches and it's easier than it sounds. I even once did a full shiney Breitling myself. Always loved the watch but the full polished look not so much. I taped off the bracelet centre links and brushed the side ones to get a jubilee kind a look. It worked like a charm. Same with my Steinhart gmt. Like mentioned earlier also did a total brush on my Omega Seamaster bracelet. And again, if you don't like it you can always make a jeweller to polish it again. In my case I even do the polishing myself. There are polishing clods named "Cape Cod". They're really magic clods. They work extremely well. Only €10 you get a pack that last for years. You only need a small piece to do an entire bracelet. It makes any brushed surface shiney and polished in no time. Like a silver rub. The clod becomes black in a few strokes but that means it works. Keep at it and your watch will shine again. Polishing is just like the brushing. Go in straight lines and you'll manage to get the right results. it's actually more fun to do it yourself. Now go beat Draco! You can do it!

@@MisterMaster4life 😄🥊 - I actually have a tin of the Cape Cod cloths - they are brilliant. Used them to polish loads of used watches in the past. They come up looking like new. Thanks for the tips re the brushing. I'm gonna do it. I might even create an entertaining new video of the procedure, for the channel!

@@wristwatchdave422 Great decision Dave! That's how we do it, by just doing it! I literally did it with a scouring pad from the kitchen 😂 but if you want to use a bit more delicacy you can always buy an equally cheap'ish finer brushing material like sandpaper for metal with a fine grain. Either way, if you do it or not, you defenitely got a new subscriber!

Thanks for your feedback. I was hardly rubbing the watches together. They were touching, yes, but not nearly enough to cause even the slightest scratch. Also, the surface is a laminated desk, resting a watch on this surface is not going to do any damage. Is there really anything unusual about gently resting a watch on a desk? These watches are not made of tissue paper! They are all solid stainless steel, with scratch resistant sapphire crystal and scratch resistant ceramic bezels. I take great care of all my watches. You can see these are without a blemish. You do not need to 'baby' expensive watches. I could not enjoy them if I wrapped them up in cotton wool. Relax 👍

It's strong - no complaints at all.

It's just like any other bezel on a diver's watch. Turn turn the rotating bezel and align the triangle mark of the bezel with the position of the minute hand. Then, read the scale on the bezel, to which the minute hand points so as to figure out the elapsed time - up to a minute.

No, it’s an improved version of the 2892 produced by ETA exclusively for Longines.

The Swatch group owns ETA, so technically it's an in-house movement.

But the Longines has a lot better movement than that standard Sellitta in the Oris.. these new Ceramic Hydros are a better value overall in my opinion...

Yes, I think that's due to the polished centre links. It may look a bit cheap but certainly does not feel cheap though.
