I seen that some of these products have Triethalomine or TEA which I heard is a harmful ingredient but I’m still not sure. Are you familiar with this ingredient, if it’s ok to continue using products with that in them?
I have very fine and thin natural hair. I am in 4 type hair group but in the natural community world there isn't a lot of videos that represent how my hair is. Unfortunately the African Pride 2 in 1 Shampoo and conditioner does not agree with my hair. I do not know what ingredient(s) aren't agreeing with my hair. The only way I can describe my experience is like it fried my hair. It was so strong similar to that of a relaxer. When I washed my hair it was coming out it clumps 😳😳😔😔. It also changed my hair texture. Just unfortunate it has not worked for me. But what may work for one may not always work for the other. I just need to stick to Auntie Jackie hair products. If a product is working for you sometimes best to stick to it. All the best everyone. Just my experience 🤷♀️
I’ve used these used some of these products worked great for my natural curly hair( curling cream and leave in conditioner) inexpensive products!! Hope this helps 😊
It's not bad it just coated your hair if you don't use a clarifying shampoo so your hair is not coated preventing moisture to come in. Silicone and sulfate it you wash your hair
@@jennierandomzyeah true but it still doesn’t make sense to me coz after washing it out you still going to moisturise with the same leave in conditioner putting back the silicone 😒
Silicons tend to stick onto the hair and can clog pores. Used in creams it doesn't allow the hair to absorb moisture. Anything petrol based will act this way. Benefits would be shine and softness from the coating, frizz reduction (short term). I dont recommend using them cause it depending on your hair it might seat in your strand drying your hair over time, resulting in dry and brittle hair. That's my experience with them. I had lost curl definition. My hair were constantly dry and brittle even after product application. Meh.
I think it was the one drying my hair. Yesterday i washed my hair after i didn't apply any products, apart from 3 oils mixed, coconut, castor and almond. My hair didn't dry out like it usually does. I think i should stop using african pride. Products
@@jeanwilson5648 Hey! From my understanding, because low porosity hair is prone to build-up, so I choose not to use silcones. You might be alright though. Try it to see how your hair responds. Just make sure to clarify your hair on wash day, so your strands can receive the fresh moisture you are adding. I would use lighter oils and water mixed with glycerin and/or aloe vera juice. If that isn't enough for your hair, you could use a light leave-in with a curl cream or protein-free gel...maybe a botanical gel right after wash day. Then use a light oil with the water/aloe vera juice/ glycerin component to refresh your hair during the week until your next wash day. Just tweek this advice to fit what your hair likes. Just remember, always use water first before anything else. I hope this helps 😊 if you have anymore questions, just let me know.
