What a HUGE and GUTSY win for the Stars! Especially, after hearing that they flew into Denver during the day and not the night before because of the weather. Wow! The magic number for clinching the Central Division title is 4.
The Dallas @ Colarado game just reminded me of your broadcasters video. This was one of the most one sided broadcasts I've ever watched, it might as well have been an Avs broadcast.
Stars vs Avs tonight was probably the most entertaining game of the season I’ve watched this year. If they meet in the playoffs, that series would be insane. Proud of the Stars for getting through the travel related adversity tonight!
@@luciusETRUR bro what is the deal with avs fans you are all so nice and humble lol. Like last year when the stars played Minnesota the fans were terrible. Never heard of a mean avs fan
@@thepineapple11I’ve run into some cool ones but trust me there is a large number of avs fans that aren’t humble, look down on the stars, and don’t believe that the stars are in the same league as the avs.
As a Stars fan watching that game, Georgiev wasn't great sure but you could take 2 of those goals off the board if the Avs were playing anything close to decent defense. Their usually very good PK was really really bad last night. All 3 PP goals were just the Stars finding wide open passing lanes to high danger scoring areas with just a total breakdown in defensive coverage.
The focus and lack of effort for our defense is giving me end of 2022 vibes, we did the same crap and just stopped trying to end the season. As an Avs fan it's annoying but in the end I think the players are just bored and want the playoffs to start
As a Rangers fan and a fan of St Louis, I love what he's doing with the Habs. I can see them being a much stronger and better team next season, especially with Primeau.
Seeing Graf on the board made me think it would be interesting to see a video on how different every team's roster is at the end of the season compared to the start of the season.
The loss can be a blessing in disguise, since while the Av's definitely knew what was coming this does take some of the fan favorite pressure of the Av's since they are no more the nr.1 favorites in that series.
@@DiabloManiaczThe Avs made the playoffs. I'm honestly fine with that. They broke their backs trying to win the division last season and they paid for it in the playoffs
I remember the tape eating sound too. Having to wind it back in using a pencil. Same sentiments when the Stars are behind the Avs who have a special skill in the come from behind win category.
I feel like a jerk pointing this out but I noticed it in the preview too. Dallas's record is 49-20-9, not 49-26-9. Huge win from them tonight though! Caught pieces of it at work and this team looks READY. Can't wait for the playoffs. Stars need to keep resting Seguin and Otter every now and then too. Bring 'em in for the game against Winnipeg and then let 'em take it easy.
As a Rangers fan, the first two periods were so frustrating with the Rangers totally out playing Montreal but not getting much to the back of the net. Glad the Rangers managed a really strong 3rd to finally pull away.
Honestly makes you think the stars just were not wasting energy in Chicago. I think they expected a 75% effort to beat the Blackhawks. Glad to see them beat Colorado after Saturday! Go STARS!!
So heartening to see the Stars pull out a win in Denver second night of a b2b. Some phenomenal performances. My only regret is that Lundqvist had such a rough showing. He earned multiple shifts with Heiskanen, but then let Duhaime completely beat him in the crease and got benched. I hope he does some power training over the summer and we can see a little of that pairing again next year. He and Miro could be so fun together.
I am concerned that Alexandar Georgiev may have be burn out this late in the season having logged 60 games out of 78 games this season. I was surprised that Avs did not try and get an experienced goalie like Allen before the trade deadline.
As a hockey fan I hope to see stars / avs western conference final. As a stars fan I hope Colorado gets taken out before that happens. They scare the hell out of me .. go stars …
@fneall68 unless Colorado or Dallas drops back into a wildcard spot, they meet in the 2nd round. If Dallas takes the division, they play a wildcard team, and Colorado will play whoever is 3rd in their division. If Dallas and Colorado both win their series, the brackets don't get rearranged. It's a divisional match-up in the 2nd round.
Panarin won't surpass Jagr for goals scored in a Rangers season, but he might get the points record seeing who the Rangers face the rest of the way. Hopefully this keeps up in the playoffs.
One person I know I’m happy for if the Stars win is Shannon lol. As for the Avs, goaltending is still a big question heading into the playoffs, and that greatly worries me as a fan. We’ll just have to see what decision Bednar makes heading into game 1
@ShenmueAtheist The Avs defense has been trash all season too. During their win streaks, the defense was tight and the goaltending was good. When the defense let's off, the goaltending let's off as well. During the Cup run, you could put a cardboard cut-out in the net and still be fine with that defense.
Should have made a Note about Bedard having 1 SOG and only 3 attempted shots... his best attempt would have been called off had he scored as he entered offsides. Harding also scored a Shutout in his 2nd game with the Wild but i dont remember if he won the first game or not, Jesper is the youngest to do it for the Wild.
Wild 3rd goal error, wrong Russian! Freddy Gaudreau from Bogo and Marat Khusnutdinov (not Kaprizov) i'll cut you some slack even the Wild twitter got it wrong before correcting it
The “Bust” Alexis Lafreniere is closing in on 30 goals with 56 points at age 22 yrs. He’ll never have the speed that the Rangers kind of need but…but…he’s starting to figure it out on an NHL level. Soon he’ll be looking for a bag 💰
2 more losses and the Sharks clinch the 33rd overall pick! (I guess they also get top odds in the lottery/a guaranteed top 3 pick but we all know it's about securing pick number 33).
Imagine how much money you could win if you put a $100 bet back in September, on Keller having more goals than McDavid after 72-ish games into the season with McDavid not missing any games... 🤑
lol Blues haven’t been eliminated yet Shannon. But mathematically it’s almost impossible for them to make it. But hey we’ve seen crazier things happen before.
I keep saying nothing will change under Fitzy being the Gm for the Devils. Same mistakes,Same terrible PP and now the PK has falling off. WHy is this guy so clueless, dont trust him to hire the "right" HC for them. Teams know the Devils are one trick ponies on the PP and thats the drop pass to the slingshot. Fitzy gotta let someone else be GM before he ruins another season which he will.
Hello Puckheads! Looks like a it could be a three-way tie for the final two spots in the East Many of us posted a 5-2-2 mark on Sunday including me 😊 Overall, I sit at 679-480-77 (58.05%)
I'm glad I watched WrestleMania this weekend instead of the Capitals dumping their playoff hopes down the drain. The kind of year they had is the kind of year to get a GM fired. Teasing playoffs when they should have been going for a top pick... Only to (very likely) miss the playoffs in the last 2 weeks of the season. Brutal. GM needs to go.
After tonight, the Avs are done. I do not see them making it past the first round. They can't handle garbage teams in Montreal and Columbus, and now they get obliterated two games in a row by Edmonton and Dallas. This means they'll be facing the Jets, who have dumpstered them both games this season, possibly as the away team (their away record this year is a joke). Team's finished. No chance without a captain or a real starting goaltender.
Yeah, I don’t agree with this. The regular season is a crap shoot sometimes, and good teams will have bad games. In the playoffs, as long the Avs are mostly healthy, they’re still a formidable team. If goaltending doesn’t hamper them like it is now, I can definitely see them making the second round
As a tampa fan the regular season isnt the end, all that matters is the health but can gorgiev be good enough for the playoffs that is the real question
@@ShenmueAtheist I've been saying this team's destined for a first round exit since November unless something changed. The trade deadline gave me hope, but they're back to their November play during the most important part of the regular season.
@@sportsrook8282 Georgiev this season has given me no reason to believe he can magically turn it on in two weeks. Teams that play like shit during the stretch also tend to crater in a series.
