Hobbiis friends and rainbow cotton are amazing for baby amigurumi and baby toys. I’ve used rainbow to make little studies and rattles for my kids, my favourite being a zomBEE with a ripped wing and a bloody antenna. I don’t really like it for clothes either, I much prefer something like hobbiis twister solid for that, softer but still light. Also made coasters and makeup pads with this.
Omg LOVE the makeup pads idea!! Thank you!! I also love the twister solid yarn! It’s one of my go to yarns! I love how light it feels - so nice for layering so you don’t get too hot!
Have you tried the rainbow cotton? I'm curious how it compares to this. I personally use the rainbow for washcloths & small amigurumi. A bit too rough for clothes, yes.
@@nessasknots I've heard some say it's a bit softer than the friends cotton. The thing is, I wanna try the 8/8 so much, cause I wanna make things like swiffer covers without having to hold more than 1 strand 🤣
@@winternightmarecrochet ahhh now I need to try them all! I've been trying to find a cotton that I really like but I think it's a texture thing for me!! It's been so hard to find one I like.
I actually make most of my clothes form Rainbow cotton yarn and it’s incredibly soft. 🥰 The friends collection to me seemed a bit more rough, but still softer than any cotton yarn available for purchase in stores. I’ve tried all of them - 8/4, 8/6 and 8/8.
I think I need to buy one of each and try them all! 😍 I really want to try the rainbow one because I’ve been searching for a cotton I like that can be used for clothes so I can make things for the summer but I’m soo picky with textures 😅 thank you for the suggestion!!
@@pfftxoxo1502 It’s always so interesting how different ones feel different to us all! I’m so curious and I’m thinking or ordering one of each next time I purchase from Hobbii! 🤔
