Yeah, that is a good point Aaron. I remember my Grandfather putting out a paper plate, shooting off-hand at 50 yards and if all the shots hit pretty well on that plate is was good for a white tail deer hunt. I am using the Alexander Arms E-Lander mags. I had these cerakoted also. The Timney trigger that I did not like was the AR-15 single stage 667S. I replaced it with a TriggerTech Diamond Two Stage MSR Trigger. It is a fantastic trigger. Thanks for watching and posting!

@@sdkweber I was planning on purchasing that very same Timmy trigger for a SBR. what didn't you like about that trigger? I do run Triggertech in all my DMR Rifles. I thought the Timmy would work better in a home defense type rifle?

@@jonboyhst6448There are nuances to triggers that are very difficult to describe and one person's experience with a given trigger may not reflect the experience of another shooter. Having said that, that specific Timney trigger (while it came in consistently at just over 3 lbs) had an all or none wall of a trigger. While shooting precision I like to really get to know the trigger and when the crosshairs are on the bullseye I want to apply that little bit extra trigger squeeze and send the bullet down the bore. There was no "little bit more" with this trigger. It was all three + pounds now, which was not ideal for precision work. For other applications (home defense), it could be a great trigger as it is consistent and reliable and is far better than OEM triggers. I hope my description helps some.

That's really too bad. Sorry to hear that. I assume you are probably using polymer mags, but if you have some metal stanag mags they might just barely fit. Thanks for posting that. It will be good info for other viewers.

​@@sdkweberI would be very interested in your reloading results with the 6.5gr 100gr ELD-VT bullets. My current varmint/short range target load is a 95gr V-Max over 8208XBR, but I was hoping to find something of similar speed that handles the wind better

@@DanielReyes-hz1qk I have not tried reloading for this 100 gr. bullet. I will be working up a load for the 110 gr Lehigh match bullet though. Probably not a good varmint round as it is monolithic.

Could be any of the above. Cold bore, cold shooter... that's why I shot several groups (it was seasoned bore in all cases). You are correct that longer bullets need faster twist and while I cannot find the length of these bullets posted online I doubt a 100 gr. bullet would be longer than a 123 gr. bullet. But I am not certain of that. Have you seen bullet lengths posted? If so, please send a link. Thanks for watching DW None.

@@justice1327That would be great to know and you are correct again. Your points are spot on and its interesting because I cued a video for release in a few weeks that describes these same points and characteristics of bullets.

@@justice1327Thanks for doing that and sending in the results. Is that a 0.224" diameter bullet? I measured the 115 gr. Barnes TAC-TX that shoots well in this rifle and it is 1.284" in length.
