Reviewing LONDON'S BEST KEBAB SHOP! Was it WORTH it? 

Ali one of the owners is my neighbour..i know him well he puts his heart and soul in to that business to make it the best he possibly can..the food is consistently fantastic..the home made bread is soooo good.

That looked like a kebab cafe/restaurant like you'd find in Turkey, Greece and Bulgaria. Quality and presentation were excellent and definitely notches up from most standard kebab shops. Home-made bread and sauces as well made it seem more authentic. My only gripe was the cutlery and cutting into that piece of lamb looked like hard work. Good idea about bringing your own and I must remember to do that. The grillled veg looked really appetising. No wonder it's popular. Thanks for another great review.

Gaining a spice tolerance takes years of training. I cant believe you'd eat a phaal on our behalf. Legend!

Hi Gary, that looked really good, except for the dry piece of lamb, everything looked fabulous. The chicken looked really great and quite sure I would enjoy that kebab. So not too far from central London where I live, so will definitely bring my buddies down and try it. Congratulations on reaching 60K subs, just a proof of how professional you are and how good you are transmitting the flavours and smells. It just goes to show that there are some decent independent fast food outlets around although I think it's very telling that this one is in what appears to be a residential area and not the more common student quarter or 'fast food run' often found in city / town centres. As always, a very rounded and objective review Gary which was a great watch.

(my first digs in London 500yards from Crystal Palace FC)......In a restaurant with the full experience is my favourite...I like to be with you on a full restaurant experience....I enjoy the quirky stuff too...... But like the quality restaurant best haha....I mentioned San Marco to you a while back.....Between Preston and Southport....went last week after a long time ....with an old pal from London........He was astounded at the food / ambience....a genuine 'Mayfair' restaurant in a Lancashire hamlet....Experiences like that make your videos so rewarding.....As ever....My Best Wishes ....Liverpool Kev.....

The dips look fantastic. I'm a big fan of hummus! The haloumi also looks great. What a fantastic looking place. I wish I lived nearby (let alone in the country) as I'd go there for sure. Also, kudos to the cameraman for an excellent job!

Everytime i drive past there, i always see a lot of Police cars parked up there. I used to think they had loads of trouble there. Then i realised they were all ordering food 😂

I do love how genuine Turkish and Lebanese restaurants serve the most wonderful starters or mezze, and those looked so yummy along with the lovely fresh bread. As for your mixed kebab, wow, it looked absolutely delicious, as well as the halloumi. Hope I can find a smilarly wonderful substitute kebab place, or otherwise I'm going to have to go a very long way and track down EA Turkish for a kebab this good! I'd feel like a fraud if I gave a 10/10 when I can't taste the food, but I honestly felt it only just fell short of that so am awarding a 9/10 just based on the quantity, quality and the presentation. Thanks Gary, that was a very objective review!

Another thoroughly enjoyable review. Call me sad if you wish, but if I know we are going to have something like this to eat, I always take my own metal knife and fork as it makes a real difference to how I enjoy the food as opposed to the wooden ones.

It's almost like an Indian shashlik, with big chunks of 🧅🫑 looked gorgeous, I love the look of the lamb & chicken chunks......... Just needed spicy salsa & the pitta 😅😉yum. Glad your back to yourself Gary x

Great review as always Gary! Food looked tasty and well priced considering overall quality. I didn't even know chicken kofte was a 'thing'. Congrats on hitting 60k and glad you're feeling better.

The complimentary dips looked awesome, that would cost about $12 here in the US. They use sumac powder which has a lemony flavor in some Middle Eastern dishes. I make my own tabouleh salad since traditional uses mint and it’s not my favorite in savory recipes.

Looks like good food overall, but prices that remind me why I don't live in London. Eight quid for salty, rubbery "cheese"? Bizarre that they serve you on reusable wooden platters, but provide you with horrible plastic utensils.

This gaff is only down the road from me , nice to see you doing local stuff as well as the more up market stuff .

Great review again Gary. Glad you're on the mend. The kebab looked great. My only gripe (and I'm being picky) is the wooden school trays they serve the food on. Not a fan but otherwise, decent stuff!

Food ok but the tinned tomato chilli sauce lets it down they should use fresh tomatoes instead, Taksim Restaurant at the bottom of Blackheath Hill is much much better.

You are looking much better Gary. I spotted chips on the menu. Start with the warm bread and dips, they looked amazing. Then chips, halloumi, and hummus. Enjoyed that, well I can dream. Food looked great and you enjoyed it. Eight and a half was fair. You have discovered your forte in life.

Glad your feeling better. Wow, 60k...wish I had noted down how many it was when I first joined you . Your channel, as we all predicted, is growing at the speed of light. Well deserved and congratulations🎉 I thought the food looked lovely, very fresh and vibrant. A shame about the lamb but it wouldn't stop me going there and they seem to take such pride in their restaurant that, after watching this review, I am sure that they will sort it. Because of the beautiful complimentary dips and homemade bread, they didn't skimp on them, I think the price is well justified.

Nice looking food there mate. I think your 8.5/10 score was very fair. Shame about the tough piece of lamb you had but these things happen. I remember going to Turkey back in 1995 as a teenager and I had Adana, Erfa and Shawarma kebabs. Some of the nicest food I've ever had. We have a couple of Turkish kebab shops here in Solihull so I plan on trying them soon. Will let you know what they're like buddy. Quick tip for you Gary, Camden Town: Chris's Fish Bar on Eversholt Street. Unassuming little cafe with great cod and chips.

You need your do Ockbassi in S Tottenham, next to Bruce Grove overground. Get the huge platter, feeds 3 people but so good. Their soup is also excellent! Do it , the complimentary Salad and Bread is awesome

My usual order from the Turkish is 2 skewer of lamb shish, 2 skewers of chicken shish, both drenched in toum (Turkish garlic sauce) and kebab house hot sauce, grilled onion and peppers, cuxumber and tomatoes, NO RAW ONIONS, 2 Turkish flatbreads (saaj bread), 5 Turks (a tray of 5 dips - hummus, cacik, haydari, labneh, acili ezme) and lots of those pepperoncini's!
