I did the "coloring hair with markers" thing a few months ago and: 1. It was in fact WATER what she dipped the pigment tube into before blowing into it 2. I had an extremely vibrant color pay-off after doing this (as in, I've never had dye work this well) 3. My hair was then and still is extremely dry and damaged, yet this method didn't damage it any further, it acted exactly like a semi-permanent hair dye 4. The pigment in those markers is made specifically with the idea in mind that people will get it on their skin (accidentally or otherwise), so it's not toxic, or at least, not harmful in any significant way if you only do this once or very rarely
can you tell me what brand of markers did you use? Brad Mondo actually tried this hack with sharpies and it worked. I couldn't find sharpie (the brand) so i used other brand but the color washed out 90% on the first wash (no shampoo) it was permanent but it said that it washes out of clothes maybe that was why. what i am worried about is what if it permanently stained my hair
@@Blue-iv5fv I user Bic markers (not permanent), a BIT of conditioner and left it in my hair for many many hours (overnight + half of the next day), then rinsed it off with cold water
Well, Victorians actually used eggs as a shampoo with a bit of rosemary water for the nice smell, presumably. It doesn’t, in fact, straighten the hair but makes it sort of fluffy and easier to work with, when it comes to hairstyling. But for the love of Universe, please don’t use eggs to wash your hair, I beg you. Eggs need really cold temperatures not to... well, cook on your head, so Don’t Do It Please!
I am not condoning mixing egg whites with water as shampoo, but eggs were used in recipes for hair cleansers in the 18th and 19th centuries. The demonstration by 5 min Crafts is bunk, though. If you’re interested, Bernadette Banner has a video about using eggs as “shampoo.”
the Crayola marker hack does work I've actually used it on my hair and that was water that she dipped it into and she did not suck on the marker she blew into it to blow the ink out
Oh no, don't use sellotape on your lips! I tried to break off tape by biting it years ago and it stuck to my lip and when I pulled I took a lump of the skin of my lip on it.

Don't watch any 5 min crafts. Do your research on these big channels. They're a content farm that puts out vids super fast for max profit at the expense of our safety. Most of the videos are dangerous and include mis/dis information. Kids have gotten seriously injured from their food hack ones for example. So don't give them views or support them at all plz!

Honestllllly whats annoying about the first hack is that the science is there, if you know anything about hair its that it can't be repaired it can only be strengthened which gives the appearance of repair etc... SO why didn't they just bloody say that? And show that via like an elasticity test or something? 😂😂😂 some times it's like "yes I see where you're goi----... nvm, you done effed up"
Actually what I wanna tell this gal is two things.... That as a salon owner I'm glad she's roasting this stupid content farms with their early stupid hacks or should I call it heck instead?! And secondly, patience girl. PATIENCE! If you're gonna roast these lowlife content farms you need to have gallons and gallons of patience in your system.
I have a quick hair hack...no yelling at me. I watched a girl using toners and she discovered while traveling how other countries tone hair. She had damaged color while traveling and of course yellow hair. She went to a shop to have it toned. She requested yellow. They told her they didn't do that. They use blue black hair dye. About a half a teaspoon in a bottle of shampoo and shampoo the hair very, very quickly. It tones all colors. Can't get cheaper can you? Her hair looked great by the way. Happy Tuesday beautiful!!!!
The marker hair dye that the 5-minute crafts did, actually works. You don't dip it into bleach. you dip into water. If you watch Mackenzie Marie, she did it to her hair. When you dye your hair with it, it wont be super vibrant like it showed in the 5-minute crafts videos but it will put the color onto your hair.
I've actually tried the marker-to-dye trick! It works but you need a lot of markers. You take out the ink cartridge of the marker and soak the tip in water. Then you blow out all the ink and mix it with conditioner. It works as dye but you need a lot of markers and I found it made my hair pretty dry
That tape thing is ridiculous its just a fancy way to pick at your lips and it'd make it worse I remember when I was young I tear tape with my teeth and when I did that it caught my lip and I pulled it off and it hurt and I carry on wrapping presents... then blood drips on my hand so I touch my lips my fingers are red I check the mirror and sis looked like she just peeled her entire upper lip off 😂😂😂 i was so scared, it was fine they just scabbed but like if youngass me can rip off a layer of lip with tape you don't wanna be using it to get rid of dead skin. Scrubs are better cos then u ain't left with any little bits left
Interesting.. People who want to go for a 100% natural hair routine, will wash their hair with eggs as shampoo.. water is enough to open up the hair cuticle tho.. and close it down. If chemicals were to be the only "ingredients" to be able to cleanse and condition hair, I must assume that our ancestors had filthy hair and did it all wrong ? Just saying lol the curly girl method taught me a lot about hair science but well..
I’m pretty sure tape will literally tear the very fragile lip skin.. when you started I was like noooo don’t do that. It was water, and you do that at the end just so you have a clean spot to put your mouth and blow the ink out. It definitely works but that video was not it 😂
