Hi Jerry, this video was truly insightful. It really demystified and clarified the black box that is college admissions. I’m currently a rising senior. I’m also interested in generative language modeling and machine learning. I’ve done Andrew Ng’s deep learning specialization and got a certificate and Ive participated in a coding camp for AI and built a project. Because of my Grandma’s dementia, I also have an interest in cognitive science, which will be another component in my application.I know that there isn’t much time left, but can I do to boost my intellectual vitality between now and November? There’s only two months left

Jerry, thank you so much for this super detailed review!!! It is ao helpful! May I ask you, how do they know that you took Algebra 1 honors in 6th grade? Normally, at least in the common app, one is allowed to list classes and activities only taken in high school. Where did you fi d a place on the application to mention the 6th grade math?
Hi there! So I believe that your transcript will show all high-school level classes that you've taken (at least in my school system), which means that since Algebra 1 Honors was a high-school level class, it would show up on my transcript. However, all of the other classes that I took in sixth grade would not have shown up because they were not high-school level classes.
probably just like having some knowledge about or background in the work they do and making sure to utilize any connections to professors that you might have.
schools should be forced to release the stats of all of their admissions after admitting to their multi-decade bias scandal. frankly there's no reason human being should be determining who gets in anyways it should be up to an algorithm.
