EXCELLENT VIDEO! I share the same passion for this device as you do. I just purchased my third Micro, but this one is for my son. Hes been wanting to play mine quite a bit and i noticed the other day he was watching a video about it. My original I purchased in 2005 is still in pristine condition. My second I purchased on clearance from a local store for $60. I have a very good carrying case I purchased off Amazon that I keep it in. I take it to work and play it on my breaks. I still get a lot of compliments on it and many people still think it's a new device. A testament to Nintendo and their dedication to quality. I really enjoyed this video. I've subscribed and will be binging your other videos now! Cheers!!
Thank you, man! You know, comments like yours are the real prize for the efforts put in a video like this. To know that there are still people out there who cares for tech like that, still in 2024, this is priceless! What cartridges do you use? I am wondering if I should get the EZ Flash, for now I just ordered to bootleg with 24 games each from Alixpress. There are plenty of Original Games for 10 bucks, but without packaging so... I will be hunting them down. Also I had to already change the CR1616 battery of the bootleg cartridge it arrived it, and replaced it without soldering with duck tape and with a bigger battery :))
Thank you so much, mate! I had 2 hours of footage recorded, wanted to show more of the game play, but you are right, 20+ mins already too long, you know nowadays, with shorts, reels, tik tok. I will definitely make some follow-ups once my new cartridges arrived.
I've bought a used Micro from my local retro video game shop for my birthday last September. Been playing Medabots Metabee on it, and I loved how crisp it looks on a smaller screen. As someone who owned an original SP with very mid lighting, the Micro to me feels like an upgrade. I'll consider playing more on it once I get an EverDrive to load my backup Pokemon games on it.
Can you do side by side comparison gameplay Gameboy Micro vs Trimui Smart mini - Gameboy Micro vs Anbernic Rg28XX I’m debating on buying one for gaming but I only need 1 which one should I get ?
Wonderful video! Thank you! I purchased two GBA Micros when they first came out after they were heavily discounted. I think I paid $40 for each one. I don't have them today but indeed it's the best way to play GBA games. Every game looks better on that screen and it's a joy to use. I beat Ninja Five-O on that device and what a blast it was. I try to explain this to people but you really have to experience it for yourself to appreciate the difference.
Agree..As weird as it sounds I never experienced the Micro until now. I didn't care much fkr handheods 20 years ago but atill I experienced the original Game Boy, Sega Gear, later other game boys and DSs, but somehow not the micro. Until.now... and it's the best.
I didn't get the point of it at the time. This, along with the SNES-2 (no S-Video support), when the Wii took away GC and later the "Mini" that took away the online support...whatever happened to things being new and IMPROVED?
I don't think that there are new or improved, it's two factors mainly for me, retro nostalgia and the premium feel. Also, because it was more or less a commercial failure vs the millions of GBA systems sold, it led to the fact that there aren't so "many". Well, still more than 2 million were made, but it's a fraction of all GB systems ever made.
