This is why a magnifying glass would be a better option. I don't know why he was surprised it worked fast, he must not have started a fire with a magnifying glass.
I'm glad Tyler is someone we can trust, because man during that motion detector test I was expecting a crazy jump scare it was the perfect setup for it lol
anybody else wonder what Tyler does with all the stuff he buys and tests? Is there a big bunker of junk somewhere? A pile in his back yard of things with sword and blow dart holes?
So in the instant heat packages you've got to pop the metal piece, wich creates a microscopic bubble due to a slight vacuum it makes, and it gets the cristalization of the liquid going wich is in this case exothermic, so it gives out heat. You can reuse them as many times you want, all you need to do is to put it in hot water untill it melts back up again (I assume you can't microwave it because of the metal piece)
The hot packs are super saturated solutions, when you push the metal disk you create a nucleation spot that causes it to crystallize. This is an exothermic reaction releasing heat. Similar to the instant freezing of super chilled water. Steve Spangler has a great video on YT about them.
correct, it's a super saturated solution of sodium acetate, which activates by the button causing a nucleation site, which the crystals can start to fall out of solution and heat up as they form. If you toss the packs back into boiling water, you're forcing the crystals to dissolve again so it can be reused. Simple, but effective chemistry 👍
a few weeks ago, you tested different ice cube trays...from the weird to the functional.... well, i bought the functional one...the tray with the blue cover...so you fill and do not spil...cover the tray and zap it right into the freezer... works great...so a big thanks to you...good job... 👍👍
Tyler my boyfriend and I watch your videos together as a date, also you made us buy some stuff from Amazon hahaha, a big hug from Chile, south america ❤
I can't remember if it was Soupy Sales or W.C. Fields or someone else who said "I can start a fire with two sticks, as long as one of them is a match."
I’m just waiting for the day when someone recognizes Tyler’s back garden as being in Slough or something. The day we finally confirm the beard and accent are totally fake. His inability to use tools (or anything) correctly? Totally genuine. You can’t truly fake that! 😂
@@ThundaStrack Uh, what country are you from? He obviously speaks with a southern/southeastern American accent, if you’re even remotely familiar with regional accents here.
@@Lukronius I’ve only been east of Texas a handful of times and nothing south of New York, but pretty much everywhere else north of Mexico, so that’s probably why I don’t hear anything different.
@@Lukronius I’ve goggled Tyler’s location and all I can find is that he lives in Montana. So I’m guessing that’s why I don’t hear an accent, bc I’m only about 10hrs away, but not sure how you hear an exact opposite area of the states, accent. NW to S SE.
Those Hot to Go packs are super useful. I keep them in my inter coat and they go through a TON of uses and still work perfectly. The burning flashlight has a TON of fakes that use the same videos. The Flashtorch is the real burning flashlight that is used in the videos of the fake ones.
I would watch an entire video of Tyler in the dark, testing various actions for a motion sensing spotlight.. Could make for some funny 'caught' moments when the light comes on. 😆
I agree. I have a similar flashlight, which I bought for like $50, it's called Pedavo. Don't know anything about this brand. The flashlight is advertised for 60000 lumen. It has 2 modes in which it focuses the light, like the normal mode, dispersing the light on a larger surface area, and a floodlight type mode, which focuses the light similar to a floodlight. On the floodlight mode, if you keep the paper (including thicker printer paper) like stuck to the glass of the flashlight, from where the light comes, it definitely starts smoking and burning (if you blow air on it) and you can use that to start a fire. It would probably work on dry grass and dry leaves as well. Such flashlights are advertised as such and they are mostly useful if you go on a trip outdoors or in the woods. Never tried to melt plastic, but I bet like thinner plastic from a soda bottle, it would definitely melt that.
Bought one of those hot packs 12 years ago at a comping expo in fort smith arkansas and they are working to this day. Just put it in boiling water to reset. 10$ each. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made.
No idea what type of light it is but the people 3 houses, yes, three full American sized suburban properties away, down from mine have this motion censor light on their deck that is so damn sensitive every time I go outside it senses me and turns on and shines like a spotlight into my yard, which maybe wouldn't be such a problem if I didn't specifically buy a nice camera to take pictures of the stars at night because our here it's usually very dark and easy to see the stars, until doofus got his damn batman symbol light-the bat. I wanna shoot that damn thing smh
Tyler do it for the one time for us it would bring us joy and laughter.. but get intoxicated and buy things off Amazon and review them sober.. killler video idea in my opinion
Why the solar Firestarter not work when using dry grass like in the video. is because that much grass blocks the sun's ray. Dont use more than the size of that end piece.
Shoutout Cult Moo, always see them on the wall and I've watched them for over a decade. Honestly liked this video a LOT, not that I don't enjoy your other uploads. Nice energy, I liked the randomness, and the products. Great combo of wins and fails.
Pretty sure the burning flashlight likely has a mechanical action that lets you move the lense in and out to focus the beam to a point, you didn't even try
Except if they are the same as I had, they are one use only, cannot reverse them by reheating. That seemed such a waste so I more often had zippoo lighter fluid fueled handwarmers. Handier still that if you had a can of lighter fluid with you, starting fires was easy.
@@stinkycheese804 The ones we had were the same as these, boil em up and use them again. I have seen those lighter fluid ones, I'd be afraid of lighting my pocket on fire.
@@--_DJ_-- They're pretty safe to use as long as you keep it in the felt pouch, otherwise the spot heat can burn your hands if they are numb from being cold so you don't realize how hot the metal is.
The first flashlight, they prob took the commercial from the world's brightest flashlight, which CAN actually burn things but also make you blind... another guy on RU-vid showed that one. Look the same, just way way more leds and way more powerfull

They obviously do make flashlight as I can start fires. Then burn paper but I don't know where you can get them. Maybe Amazon but I never bought one cause I don't know about the listing.
That first one just helps prove that you can be an "inventor" really easily these days. They successfully made a worse magnifying glass, and dumb people all over the world bought it.
hi i saw the video with the pineapple juice and the meat you should use freshly squeezed juice and not pasteurized juice because the heat kills the enzymes which are responsible for tenderizing the meat.
It's weird that sponsors like manscape pick the hairiest person to support their product. You'd think they want to see some progress on screen before they hire that person again because it still shows the product doesn't work.
And He also needs to keep the reusable hot packs by putting it in a pot of boiling water that is constantly boiling under a hot plate not just pour water over otherwise it will not work
