You can record 8K RAW without external power. You only need external power for 8K 60fps and that is to power the lens. If you want you can use a cinema lens or a manual lens without external power up to 8K 60.

Love the content, Matti! Super interesting real life look behind the scenes at 2min. It's odd but realistic to see this moment of Pete having a convo w you but looking at his screen. It's the reality of YT being your job and life. It's unrealistic how we usually imagine how these 14:24 min of footage was obtained. Hard work!

I want that camera soooo bad. I have the Fuji XT-4 and part of why I got it was the switch with different saved settings for photo and video (especially with the tactile vintage dial style). Also, your videos are pure fire and I'll never not click a release!

Very interesting to see how you and Peter did your videos different, so inspiring! Though, Fujifilm has always kept their video and photo settings apart, I got the X-T3 and and I love that I can switch between different interfaces when doing videos and when taking pictures, so Canon doing this now is a game changer!

Great video and review as always! The problem I'm having with these new cameras coming out is the market for these cameras is tough. For your skilled RU-vidrs this is overkill, especially with video compression and for your professional / commercial videographers this camera wouldnt be the first choice. These camera companies are having a hard time marketing to groups with these cameras as there isn't a proper platform for the masses. All in all, I still want this camera but have no need for this camera haha

As an avid user of both Canon and Sony, I gotta say Canon colors look so much more pleasant every single time. For the past couple months I am having such a hard time picking up Sony to create instead of Canon.

As always: Great content, guys! Let me share a little story (just to get it of my back): Watched both of your videos on late Friday, decided to be interested in the R5C (cause I'm in the process of changing my equipment anyway), headed over to Canon, informed myself, was tired as hell and decided to come back the next morning (1st fault - you know, where this is heading) - which I did. Checked again the specs, thought over it for about one more hour (2nd fault), pressed the "preorder" button, entered my Adress, entered my payment method, the website crashed for some strange reason, reloaded, entered my payment method AGAIN and JUST IN THIS DAMN SECOND the site reloaded and changed the status of the camera from "preorder" to "Sold out online" - which is the case for R5 and R3 since "forever" now... Chance gone. Literally right in front of my nose. The lesson should be: Don't think too much... But, yeah... You wanna think before spending 5k on something. Guess the cameras are now in the same kind of "keep-stalking-every-online-shop-you-know-and-keep-reloading-hell" with me, as the PS5 still is...

Hey Matti ! I know it is not the kind of camera you would use but have you heard about the new OM System OM1 ? The specs are incredible and that would be great to do a test in one of your future videos ;-) yes it is a micro 4/3 sensor, but you should give it a try and maybe share your experience ! they have great lenses too like the 7-14 f2.8 and the f1.2 trio (17mm, 25mm, 40mm). The autofocus is as good as Sonys and the stabilisation is one of the best of its kind.
