The people who are complaining that there aren’t a lot of changes are forgetting when Gan released the 13 and it was worse than the 12.

4:00 I think the reason the auto-alignment doesnt work is because of the predator magnets, the repelling force is stronger than the attracting force of the bc. If they got rid of the predator magnets, the bc would have more effect. One thing to note is that because starting a turn is harder from the repelling magnets, it means you use more force which will propel the layer past the next set of predator magnets, meaning it will always align. I still think the repelling magnets are a bad idea since the ballcore gives enough stability, especially on higher settings.

I stopped cubing for 2 years and just got back into it. I still have the muscle memory for most algs and I ordered the gan 12 maglev from yall yesterday!!

My very first main was the Tornado V1 about 8 years ago, I used the TV2 and 3 as mains as well. I'm so excited the version 4 is already released, I'll buy it right now.

The biggest problems was the magnets and plastic, so nice 🙂

I get the thinking behind making the v4 a slightly sturdier/durable cube since the v3 was so good. However, from a business standpoint for QiYi, it doesn't seem smart because most people with the v3 won't upgrade to the v4. And a lot of cubers have the v3 since the cube was just so good. (But I don't know much about economics/business, so correct me if I'm wrong).

Oh my, by the version 4 Cameron discovered the difference between Tornado maglev and spring adjustment systems. It was exactly the same in the v3 because in the Tornado, maglev adjustment doesn't work the same as spring compression: it doesn't compress but instead align or misalign the ring magnets. That's why it goes 1-2-3-4-5 and then back 4-3-2-1 because the magnets fully align at 5 and are the most misaligned at 1.

6:50 - Naaw. The fact that happened means that the Pioneer's Edge-Magnet Auto-Alignment doesnt work. The Flagship continues to be the better option.
