JB weld and Devcon products are a similar quality and all do what they say they will. The epoxy putties all need an under cut to allow a key to hold in place as there is little adhesion to the surface and all need 24 hours before any real loading, no matter what the manufacturers say. They are not the one who will have to remake something when it fails. All the best
Using paper products such as your business card or card board can leach solvents and plasticizers out of the adhesive. I suggest you use a small piece of aluminum foil for small mixes such as this.
