Amazing video, thank you for sharing! I had 2 more design questions that I was wondering if you’d be able to help with, as I’ve been getting conflicting information - so any insight would be appreciated! 1.) When working with logos, do you send font files to clients? How does the font licensing work, do you purchase the font, use it, and send/forward the client the same licence? Or does the client have to buy the font & license themselves? Or do you avoid this and just convert the design to outlines/expanding appearance before sending files over? 2.) When sending brand patterns to clients, do you save the swatch pattern as an .Ai file (ex. selecting the pattern swatch & in extra options -> Save Swatch Library as Ai), and forward that? Or do you export the pattern as a PDF or external format and send that? Or do something else? Just a bit confused on the correct process of sending over brand patterns to clients. I really appreciate your time, thank you so much!!

Hey there, Great questions. 1. No, I don't send the font files or font licences to clients. When I create a logo design and I use a font, because I am turning the font in the logo to outlines, the client doesn't need to have a license for the font I used in the logo. If however, the client would like to use the same font for things like text on their website or in their branding materials, and they are creating these materials themselves, then they will need to purchase a font license in order to legally be able to use that font. 2. I very rarely send pattern swatches to clients, as they don't have the software to use swtach pattern files. In most cases I'll supply them with a square png or jpg file of the repeating pattern and a larger graphic with the pattern for them to use in vector and bitmap formats. If they have in-house graphic designers, I always contact them and ask how they would like the pattern to be sent. And some will want it as an AI swatch file as you have described above. There is no right or wrong way really for this. It comes down to what level of usage the client has, as well as the capabilities at their side.

@@RockYourBrand Thank you soo much for your reply! That cleared a lot up! & For the square PNG or JPG file for the pattern, what approx. size for that would you recommend to export?

With your logo "Heighten", how come you squished the "TEN" together?
