Cyberpunk 1.0 is just V having minor cyperpsychosis

1.0 cyberpunks whole plot is just you in a simulation that gets more corrupted overtime

Imagine a universe where cyberpunk was never patched and the game stayed in the launch state to this day.

Lets keep in mind Cyberpunk 1.0 was supposed to release on April 16th of 2020. Just imagine how even worse it would've been if it came out then rather than on December.

Nice of Cyberpunk to turn your Playstation into a space heater, too bad it is summer.

I think the situation was quite similar to the case of No Man's Sky, except CDPR didn't have the excuse of being an unknown indie studio at that point, so the situation was even more unacceptable. The fact remains that the game should never have been released for last-gen consoles in the first place.

I remember when I had cyberpunk for the ps4 without any updates because I didn’t have any internet and I was doing that mission where I had to save some dude in some building in the middle of nowhere with Panam and when I killed all the dudes, panam would get stuck 20 feet away from the building and 8 would be soft locked. Eventually i came to the conclusion that I had to use my brain and deduced that the guy was being held in a room in the garage of the building up a flight of stairs and had to get up there before the enemy that walked out of the room left it which would lock it, so I left the mission temporarily to get the double jump upgrade and then I went back and quickly double jumped and ran into the room before it was locked, which kept the mission from soft locking, which allowed me to progress the game. TL:DR some problems you need to overcome yourself

PC players thought last gen players were bullshitting when everyone said it was unplayable. I remember having a conversation with someone saying that the game runs fine on last gen. Lol wtf game were they playing because it was most definitely not cyberpunk

People really need to not forget this; no matter how much you think a corpo cares about you, they do not. All they want is your money.

OMG I remember having this on my XB1 before I got a XSX and man the missing textures and bugs mad it near unplayable. Characters looked like modelling clay at some points and my vehicle would randomly get launched so high it would make Nasa drool in themselves. I still cant believe that its currently my most played game now.

Your PS4 sounds like mine when I try to play Red Dead Redemption 2. And it astounds me some executive looked at Cyberpunk in that state and thought "Eh, good enough".

So glad I waited until patch 2.0 to ever buy and play this game. Getting to experience the game fresh and blind for the first time as it was truly meant to be played was a treat like no other and now it's one of my favourite games ever. To see this compared to my own experience is a testament to how they clawed it back. Genuinely fantastic

I didn’t play the game until December 2023 with the (second) last update and PL DLC. I was too apprehensive to even consider trying to play it until then… and the wait was absolutely worth it. Such a beautifully immersive and heart shattering experience.

The best thing about 1.0 for this game is the amount of God tier glitches and exploits that turned your V into an absolute unit and made you extremely rich extremely fast.

i remember to this day whenever i boot up cyberpunk 2077 how your save file got corrupted after exceeding 8mb. that, was truly the biggest fucking flop they could have ever made. if you look past how the game wasn't playable of course

Cyberpunk when it was launched was an obvious case of a game clearly being designed for PC, and then second PS5 and then everything else secondary to them. The ports to Xbox and Playstation (especially PS4) apparently got rushed to hell 😂

Am I the only one that played and finished the game back in 2020 on PC and haven't had a single game breaking problem with it? Almost no bugs actually, the few ones that I had were just funny and not gamebreaking at all. I think most of the the people who had any sort of problems were PS4 and Xbox One players, and that's from whom most of that "noise" came from but honestly it was kinda expected (atleast by me) that it's not gonna work well on these old consoles. This game was amazing back then and even more amazing now thanks to all of these updates and DLC!

I had the PS5 when this launched and I had no issues. In fact, I had no issues until they started patching it and even then it was stability at the most, would crash every 2 hrs or so and that lasted until 2.0 and then crashes were few and far between. Dead npcs would stretch on occasion, the doors on Judy’s van would disappear.

I remember hearing about this game back then and was sooo excited to play it. Then the drama started, and was definitely a little disappointed. But I had a good feeling that they were going to work on it, and I'd buy it when it's looking better. It seems that day is finally getting extremely close.

Thank god i was lucky enough, that i didnt had any of these problems on pc when the game cam out other than T-Pose here and there and ny penis coming out of my pants,but other than that evrrything run fine.

The patches are great and all, but the last time I tried to play this, I went to do the quest for the guy with the grenade nose. He was just around the corner from where I was. What should have been a five minute journey, took LITERALLY 30 because I kept getting attacked by random corpo security forces and assorted gangs for no reason I could discern. And of course, me fighting back caused the cops to get involved 🙄. I went through three different vehicles just to go a few blocks. It was NOT fun. When I finally managed to start the quest, the game crashed after five seconds. I finally rage quit and haven't looked back in four months.

Insane how 1.0, for me, was playing surprisingly well on PC. Only had one quest-related bug but otherwise everything was fine if I remember correctly haha

I am sorry, but nobody beats no man's sky redemption arc. Best comeback of all times. Period.

I play... no ... I TRIED to play cyberpunk 1.0 on release ... for about 30 minutes, then I finally admitted I need a new PC. My rig simply was too old to run anything properly at that point. My stingy ass saved me from experiencing any bugs. By the time I had time and money to line up a proper system the game was over a year old, patched and a great experience. Lucky me :D

I only got this game this summer and i haven’t seen any spoilers prior to my play through so the game was truly peek gaming experience for me, and I’m so glad I held off for a few years after seeing the state pre phantom liberty haha

In 1.0 at the very end of the heist Jackie is marked on your mini map by an x in the delamain. It’s since been patched out and I think it’s a mistake. Having Jackie be a corpse like any other is so sad, but that is the reality in Night City.

You could've skipped the tutorial even in 1.0 After you select "how'd you get this?", it would replace that option with Skip Tutorial

Had no issues on my ps4 pro, blessed by the gods and now with a beast PC I'm playing it in VR with high resolution and high graphics settings. I was just literally inside night city 20 minutes ago.

I played it on console (ps4 pro) the day it released, everyday for a week straight. It crashed maybe every few hours and only one quest bugged so I couldn‘t finish it. The rest was one of the best experiences of story, music and gameplay I‘ve ever had. I will never understand how people could critizise this game so much. I feel like it was only a few people that screamed the loudest. Because it was already phenomenal from the start and just got better with everything they added.

No Man's Sky's comeback story absolutely dwarfs cyberpunk's and it's still going strong with new content, updates, upgrades and features.

The Cars in Cyberpunk are incredible now. When I 1st started playing the game after patch 2.0 it was how great the vehicles now felt and sounded which sold me on how great of an experience this was about to be. CDPR actually pulled it off and fixed their game. The anime was also awesome and was responsible for a stampede of new players. I played Cyberpunk 2077 day 1 up until meeting with Dexter (Who looked terrible compared to the trailers) in the back of the car and I quit there and just waited almost 2 years until 2.0 was ready. I am so glad I waited and gave the game a 2nd chance. Its one of the best open world games ever made.

This is insane to see. I sort of forgot this, because now, o my god this game. It's so amazing. Just only recently bought Phantom Liberty and everything is just incredible. The emotional connection with the characters and the game itself I experience with Cyberpunk is unbelievable to me. I've never had such an amazing gaming experience in my life I'm 100% sure about this. It's a masterpiece and CDPR are absolute professionals. (my experience on PC at release wasn't extremely bad by the way but nothing compared to how perfect it is now)

I remember playing this on release on ps4. I kept restarting my console thinking all the jank came from my ps4. Little did I know. Got it on PC last year and it blew me away.

1.0 cyberpunk was horrendous, people were quick to forget that the game even existed and then Edgerunners came out after years of constant updates and people tried Cyberpunk out again after watching Edgerunners and thought the game wasn't bad anymore. Now update 2.1 onwards is totally different from 1.0, if cyberpunk 2077 came out in its current state back in 2020 people would regard the game as one of the best game ever made in the early 21st century

I played Cyberpunk since release and on PC. And had only two minor glitches: Badland trees showing through the environment - I could see what trees are behind the hills and houses, but only small to medium sized, this issue happened only in Badlands though and was not a problem in Night City. Other issue was that the palm trees, which are mostly in Night City, behaved at times like those inflatable tube men and flailed around wildly. Oh, and once I had a situation where I tried to climb through the window of the building and got launched backwards at high speed, but only had it happen once so didn't consider that to be an issue from there on. And that's it. Graphics were all normal, performance was good, no crashes. Didn't have any issues with gameplay itself, I explored the NC, did all side quests, progressed with main story. Pretty much all of those issues people reported back then were console related and well, wasn't anything that bothered me in any way as on PC it worked good. Game came out when I had a vacation and already planned to spend time on game alone and thus before even the first patch came out, I had already progressed the game quite some ways. I believe the first bigger patch also resolved the issues with Badlands trees and palm trees for me and from that moment on, I had an absolutely problem free game. And I played it alot, finished many times as was evident on my recent save game check on GOG cloud (they're planning to reduce save space down to 200 Mb per game and my CP2077 save folder was many times over that). So no, I had no "nightmares" with the game since launch, had issues which did get resolved with patches pretty soon and I've enjoyed the game since its launch, even more so after Phantom Liberty addition. Game's been installed since the release and I've clocked few thousand hours in it in total over all these years.
