i think that the launch of the game and its failures just stick with ppl and give the game a bad reputation. Even tournaments in season one were just unplayable unless you were playing a top/tippity top high tier. But the game now is so much better, almost all the characters are somewhat viable and the movement and addition of teching is welcome. However it doesn’t bring players back, so the game needs smthg big to put it back on the headlines like playing online doubles with your buddy locally or even smthg wild like Walter Whiye being added (which won’t happen but what if)

Shield button will work here but i don't t think community will like that cause of smash. Alotta moves have so many active frames even if you dodge you get clipped .

That's why people praised others for knowing how to play tnj in beta... I remember people would always say tnj was hard and that they needed skill to play, but that became drastically different in the rerelease
