Revisiting Prince's Album "HitnRun Phase Two" 

Great album love it love it

Another fine release from Prince. Yes it is a collection of songs, though more cohesive than some might have expected. If you have to go then this is as good as release to do it on. As you've noted though Jeremiah there is The Vault, and no doubt Prince was still recording after this release.

I previously read (or heard) that Prince had tentative plans for Phase 3 and Phase 4, continuing to "purge The Vault" of songs that deserved to be released. Anyone else hear that?

I wish they had released the original version of Extraloveable on 1999. It was just a song he had on his mind and should not be neglected because of it's content. We all know right from wrong. But great review of a great album.

Unlike such artists as David Bowie, Queen with Freddie Mercury, and Warren Zevon, very few know (or feel) they are releasing their final album... Prince was a creative force of nature and was driven to focus on future and on-going projects, most likely up until the day he passed (😥). Phase 2 can only be viewed as his creative process being cut short. In my opinion, to view it as a final statement isn't fair to this great collection of songs. That said, at the least, the homage of "Black Music" would be a fitting summation of an incredibly significant career. (This topic still makes me so sad...) Thank you for the video! Personally, it's not my go-to album. I preferred the music on Phase 1 more. Not sure if it was too chill for my taste? 🤷🏾‍♂️

Does anyone know if there is an unreleased HitnRun Phase Three and beyond?

A decent collection of songs that ultimately leads 2 a bloated release. It has a quite tame feel 2 it.
