CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR A FEW GAMES!!!! Not gonna lie, RE3 remake is really short, but it is pretty fun on your first playthrough. I played the original about 10 years ago and liked when Nemesis was stalking you around. Those dynamic features made the game come to life, but when I checked the remake, I was severely disappointed. The graphics were better, but I hated how Nemesis didn't stalk you around, kind of like how Jack does it in RE7. And, you know, I just wanted to say that whoever makes the assumption that better graphics would make a better game. Take a game like RE4, for example. The graphics are simple, but the game feels like you will be attacked by an enemy at any moment. It also never gets boring, even when you replay it. I loved how the remake stayed faithful to it by adding some of the original music. It also made it a bit funner by giving you more times when you played with Luis, so when he died, it would make you feel emotional. Kind of like how Red Dead Redemption 2 made you spend a lot of time with Arthur and when he died, you would feel sad for him, and Luis' death makes you feel those vibes. But that's not my point. My point is, RE3 remake wouldn't stay faithful to the original and made it worse and couldn't improve it.
The original RE3 is my favorite game in the franchise. While I still enjoyed the remake as a game, it was disappointing as a remake. Especially since some of my favorite aspects of the original (choices that change the story, Nemesis dynamically stalking the player throughout most of the game, etc.) weren't even in the game. Thank goodness RE4 remake turned out to be wonderful, the RE2/RE4 remake team knows what they're doing.
