This video is a supplement to "Fix Revit so it Doesn't Look Like Revit." It adds a demonstration of how to reduce the size of the Section Head and Tail.
Thanks a lot for this video, I was able to figure out almost everything by myself but didn't know I need to turn on the ref-planes in VG and tweak them. This video saved my day! I wish one day there would be an immediate property for symbols which says small, medium, large that I can just click and choose. Technically it should be easy to implement, but maybe Autodesk wants us to have some fun.
The section line node is dissociated with the section head circle in its home position. You can see it in the video but you can see for yourself if you try to shrink down to a Detail number only callout which is half the size of the one he drew here. The only work around I can see is to draw in the line as a section mark within the head itself to make up for this gap.
I noticed that in object styles the linestyle of broken section line cannot be controlled, only the normal line, after you break it it should be controlled by a sub-setting called break line or something but it doesn't, is it a bug or something?
looks like this has the same issue as mine; the extent of the section marker line doesn't reach the bubble or in my case, goes through it. this is only happening to me with sections but callouts and view titles are fine.
I needed to make mine larger and i can't get the section line to move to match the circle. I move the reference planes, but that doesn't seem work. any thoughts?
2024 revit. no you cant adjust the overall annotation scales. dont be stupid. you need to painstakingly resize or reload every single scale you can possible have on your project. roughly 12. so its 12 annotation edits. over and over again. 2024. Revit. Advanced BIM. A quick 12 minute video covers it. There is only 1 million other hoops and loops you will need to be sitting here trying to decipher.
