Hey guys and welcome back to another
video tutorial that I made a little
while back this one is using the curtain
wall tool to create some pretty awesome
parametric louver screens become usable
heaps of different things as you'll see
if you like this kind of thing you want
to see more videos like this and other
interesting videos in Revit architecture
hit that like button that subscribe
button in a little bell and otherwise
enjoy so the first thing I want to do is
we're gonna model the basic building
we're going to create the mullion types
for the louvers and frame we're gonna
create the curtain wall type for the
louver panels and then the curtain wall
type for the frame and the last thing we
do is just drawing the curtain wall in
the model and it should all work pretty
nicely so first thing we're gonna do
model a basic building so for that we're
in the floor plan already something that
I'm across here and architecture wall
and generic 200 water's fine I'm just
going to change the height to level 2
then getting the architecture tap I'm
going to click the floor and we'll
create a floor using the rectangle like
so finish that level one and we're going
to create a roof as well so after
texture roof at level two sure and we're
just gonna create flat roof someone's
done to find slope and rectangle just
gonna hover over these walls and tab to
select all and then just change the
offset. . . in to that and here we can set our
properties for loop so now we're just
dealing with the infill panels of the
louvers first thing we'll do we'll set
our horizontal grid to say maximum
spacing you can say 80 mm between them
and we'll set their horizontal mullions
the interior type to our rectangular
moaning in louver type here okay the
last thing we want to do here is this
curtain panel up here we actually want
to set this to empty system panel but
all that's gonna do is make sure that
there's actually an empty panel or a gap
a void between each of our louvers
that's really all we need to do in here
okay
and we're not going to draw yet because
we need to set up our friends so I'm
gonna hit edit type again and we can
duplicate this one and we'll call this
frame okay and for this one now the
curtain panel we can actually instead of
that being empty we're actually going to
set it to the horizontal louver infill
so it's going to infill each of our
captain wall panels yeah it's going to
fill each of each of those with the
horizontal louver type family and now we
just want to set the grid so we want a
vertical grid and we will set that to
maximum spacing as well and we might set
our vertical grid let's say a meter and
our horizontal grid let's say two meters
maximum spacing and then we can sit in
here all our moment so we're gonna just
set basically all of them to this frame
type and I can set it for one select
that control C to copy and then control
V into each of these shall we say you
wanna replace the frame type and that's
pretty much all we need to do in here
hit OK and now we're ready to draw a
curtain wall so we want to make sure
we're on the curtain wall frame type and
we can just come in here and set our
level up to level two and just between
those walls and we just want to make
sure that it's drawn the right way so if
I tap to select the curtain wall there
see these arrows here these always
indicate the exterior of the wall so
currently it's drawn the wrong way so I
just need to click that to flip the
direction now they're on the outside so
let's take a look in 3d view we've
created
I might just select these and that's
looking pretty good we've got a nice
louver system that's infield our tire
wall we can see our frame is that dark
gray or as louvers are the cherry
Linna that's pretty much it guys hope
you like that if you did hit that like
button if you want to see more videos
