Today I work on revitalizing the 360 Magnum. I will be measuring and cleaning the block to get it ready for reassembly. I cover some of the DIY Engine block prep techniques I used to get it all nice and shiny.
I aim to get key measurements on the bore and crank so I know what size bearings to order, clean the gasket surfaces and remove paint and scale off the block with a super scraper, knock out the freeze plugs, and get a good cylinder hone. I go over the gaskets surfaces with a straight edge and a feeler gauge to ensure a clean and flat surface.
