REVIVAL at Asbury University: 'If God Wants It to Happen, It's Going to Happen'

WILMORE, Kentucky - It's been a week since a regular Wednesday chapel at Asbury University in Kentucky turned into something far more: a revival. God has been moving among the students and faculty in a powerful way.
CBN News visited the revival here at Asbury during its sixth night as hundreds of people have come from near and far to enjoy the presence of God - and even at midnight, the auditorium was still packed with more people still coming in.
Asbury University President Dr. Kevin Brown told us, "The last 2 evenings, we estimated well over 3,000 people that are here at the different locations to worship the Lord... There's no playbook for this. We're still trying to create some space for what's happening here and so that's a delicate balance and we're trying to manage it as thoughtfully and faithfully as we can and steward what's happening on campus."

@@jerrylisby3440 Look, my good man, I was also skeptical at first. In fact, I remain very cautious. However, I don't condemn these people or what is happening at Asbury. Rather, I pray that Jesus Christ would be glorified and that the Holy Spirit would convict people of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Only time will tell if this revival is a real movement of God. Until then, I remain hopeful.

@@rebekahlee7360 I have looked into it. I don't need to wait and see anything. Pray for discernment. God does not operate the way that thing is going. I am sure there are some well meaning people involved but it really is just confusion. You want revival, read your bible. That old King James Bible will jump start you into a strong love for God and his coming Kingdom pretty quick. Love not the world, neither the things in the world. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in his wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace. Wish you well sister.

Make no mistake God is in control. He's the one testing the church! When Israel strayed from His commands He made sure to test them. If they repented they would flourish, if not they would be overrun & even went into exile! When they were walking in Torah nobody could touch them ... look at how many battles they had where they didn't lose even one. Many times God wiped out hundreds of thousands of their enemies! God's law is eternal. That means it's never ending .... It's the same today as it was yesterday and into the future! So stop doing churchianty and start doing Christianity, if you do you'll be saved!

Perhaps you haven’t seen these verses in the Bible. This is certainly something that the holy spirit is doing. ““And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. You can only revive what was once alive. Many believers have become one with the spirit of the world through doctrinal errors, lack of the fear of God and the hijack of church leadership by charlatans. If corporate revival wasn't necessary as you insinuate, God wouldn't have been pouring out His Spirit at various times all through history. Let's not insult Him by trying to impute that He is wasting His time by sending refreshment from His presence to revive His children.

I was full of anger and bitterness until, I saw an interview about this revival, Jesus healed my heart and restored my relationship and love for Him. Funny,this isn't the first time this has happened there. Soo.. the best this god can do is to make some people cry, sing, and stand around and wail? I am volunteering 2 days a week for a thrift store that makes money for Orphans. But it may not be enough to be ready. I asked The Lord into my Heart. Do you believe evangelical Christianity upholds love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, goodness and self-control? I have seen few of these Jesus qualities amongst the many evangelical Christian churches I have known over the years. On the contrary, I've seen bigotry, hatred, exclusivism, judgement, fear, bullying and control. I have seen a totally contradictory collection of people who believe in an all loving Father, but also believe in the doctrine of hell. I have seen people who claim to believe Jesus is God, but believe in a God that is nothing like Jesus. I've seen people who would quite literally crucify with their bigotry, the types of people Jesus called friends and hung out with. I've seen it all, and it's getting worse. This isn't a revival. This is an increasing of numbers of people who are going to take on the mantle of all of those dreadful and obnoxious characteristics by virtue of being part of the alluring hysteria that this is generating. It's a movement of young people who are being drawn into a machine that is headed fast towards all out Christian nationalism and dominionism. If you think what is being reported in this video is a good thing, then you are completely institutionalised, indoctrinated and insulated.
