I'm going to say it again, I absolutely love this channel. I love seeing the flea market and pawn shop and hardware store hunts, the unboxing of knives from people, and the knife refurbishing. Thank you Kevin for the time you put into these videos.

Shrades first mass produced knives in the us were switch blades, I think they called them presto. Hammer, imperial, colonial, they all made versions of it. I have one just like yours, but it’s a hammer brand by imperial, got it off eBay for $10 cuz it didn’t work, but just needed some oil and cleaning and the blade shoots right out. Ppl always think of the Italian stilettos from the 50s, but these were prob far more common in the states. Cool video man

The Old Timer looks good, another good video. I learned something from the new knife manual I got from TSC yesterday, didn’t know they used dragon blood, donkey pee and urine from a red headed boy to make Damascus steel blades 😂😂😂, learn something new everyday. The bowie section is quite interesting to. Case made autos back then and they bring a lot of money now. Thanks for sharing.

I bought a Decora Solingen Fixed Blade in a antique mall yesterday, it has accessories in the handle, I believe it’s a fishing knife. I found one that sold online for seventy dollars, I paid ten. It says they were made in Germany in the forties, it’s missing the sheath so I might contact your friend. It has a saw, corkscrew, punch and scaler/Hook remover, it’s one cool knife. Thank You for getting me interested in knives!

Good videos. Watch every video. I have a knife it’s a puma I’ve used but the spring broke. I got it for Christmas 40 years ago. I would like to get in touch with you for a repair if your interested. I’m 75 and have arthritis in my hands . I would try but not able to do this work. I would also tell you I had a switch blade knife exactly like the one in your video. My dad took it away from me. I won it playing marbles I didn’t want his marbles I wanted his knife. Long long years ago. Thanks Mack

Awesome!!! Thank you for sharing this!! I’m sorry, but I don’t work on other people’s knives. I simply don’t want the responsibility or pressure working on someone’s sentimental knife.
